Amon-Ra St. Brown Questionable For Week 18

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee, ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Bears. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. HC Dan Campbell said Friday that St. Brown is trending toward playing in the season finale. It’s certainly possible that his playing time is impacted by the knee and ankle injuries. But an active St. Brown would be impossible to leave out of season-long fantasy lineups.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Back At Practice Thursday

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee, ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That should have him on track to play vs. the Bears this weekend, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Dealing With Knee "Irritation"

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee) was limited in Tuesday's practice. Asked about St. Brown's knee injury before practice, HC Dan Campbell said: “It’s positive news, but he’s a little irritated. There’s a little irritation. So, short week, we’ll see. But I would say it’s still positive news.” The Lions still have an outside shot at the playoffs, so St. Brown will be out there against the Vikings on Thursday as long as he's able. We'll update his status again tomorrow.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Out Again Tuesday

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) remained sidelined for Tuesday's practice. He said afterward that he's still uncertain whether he'll be able to play vs. the Cowboys on Thursday night. “I’m not sure right now, if I’m being honest," St. Brown said. "It’s still up in the air. I’ma try to be out there for the guys, for my teammates, but I couldn’t answer that question right now.” We'll see how St. Brown is listed on tomorrow's final injury report, but fantasy owners should not be counting on him playing vs. Dallas. WR Kalif Raymond (ankle) is also expected to miss Week 14, HC Dan Campbell said. That'll leave Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa, and Tom Kennedy as Detroit's top three WRs, if St. Brown is out.

        Amon-Ra St. Brown Sidelined Monday

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) did not practice on Monday. While he reportedly dodged a serious injury, we're not expecting him to play vs. the Cowboys on Thursday night. WR Kalif Raymond (ankle) and TE Brock Wright (neck) were also sidelined on Monday after missing the Thanksgiving loss to Green Bay.

Amon-Ra St. Brown's Ankle Injury Not Long Term

Lions HC Dan Campbell said after Thursday's loss to the Packers that he doesn't believe WR Amon-Ra St. Brown's ankle injury is long term. "But that doesn't mean it won't be here for ... a week or two," Campbell said. He added that he'll know more about St. Brown's status on Friday, presumably after further testing. We'll keep you updated on the situation, but it at least sounds like St. Brown will be back before the end of the fantasy season.

        Amon-Ra St. Brown Hurts Ankle

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown got rolled up on in the first quarter of Thursday's game vs. the Packers and headed straight back to the locker room. He's officially questionable to return with an ankle injury. We'll update his status when we know more. Detroit is already without TEs Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright and WR Kalif Raymond today.

Sam LaPorta Expected To Miss Rest Of Season After Back Surgery

Lions HC Dan Campbell said Friday that TE Sam LaPorta had back surgery and that his chances of returning this season are "very, very slim." We'll look for more details on LaPorta's injury and whether it'll impact his 2026, but he can be dropped from all redraft rosters.

Sam LaPorta Out At Least Four Games

The Lions placed TE Sam LaPorta on IR with his back injury. He's out through at least through Week 14, and it's unclear if he'll be ready to return when first eligible in Week 15. We still don't have any details on this back injury. LaPorta is worth trying to hang on to in fantasy leagues, but he's not a must-hold if you need the roster space. TE Brock Wright is next up on Detroit's depth chart but owns just 65 catches in 67 career games. TE Ross Dwelley -- 45 catches in 108 games -- is also on the active roster. TEs Anthony Firkser and Zach Horton are on the practice squad. We wouldn't bother with any of these guys in fantasy right now. Expect most of LaPorta's targets to be spread to WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams and RBs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.

Sam LaPorta Out For Week 11

Lions TE Sam LaPorta (back) is out for Sunday night’s game vs. the Eagles. We don’t have any details on his injury, but LaPorta didn’t practice all week and could miss further time. TE Brock Wright is the next man up for Detroit but will not have anywhere near as big a role in the passing game as LaPorta. Expect more targets to be pushed to WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams and RB Jahmyr Gibbs.

Update: Wright (ankle) is listed as questionable after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Avoid Lions TEs in Week 11 fantasy lineups.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Back At Practice Thursday

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (wrist) returned to a full practice on Thursday. It looks like he'll be ready to roll for Sunday night's showdown with the Chiefs. We'll confirm St. Brown's status when we get Friday's final injury report.

        Amon-Ra St. Brown Limited Tuesday

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee) was limited in Tuesday's practice. This seems to be a legitimate injury, rather than just early-week rest. But HC Dan Campbell said he feels "pretty good" about St. Brown playing vs. the Bears on Thanksgiving. We'll update his status again tomorrow.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Knee Injury Not Considered Serious

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown suffered a knee injury that he played through yesterday. It was determined to only be a minor contusion and cramping, so it is unlikely that he will miss additional time, great news for the Lions and fantasy managers.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Plays Through Knee Injury

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown's left knee was looked at by trainers twice during Sunday's loss to the Bucs. HC Dan Campbell didn't express much concern afterward. "He's alright. I don't think it's anything long-term, so that's good news," Campbell said. But St. Brown's status will be worth keeping an eye on this coming week. We'll see if we get an update on his status on Monday.
