Despite not practicing at all since leaving the Thanksgiving loss early with a sprained ankle, Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is -- in fact -- active for tonight's game against the Cowboys.
Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) remained sidelined for Tuesday's practice. He said afterward that he's still uncertain whether he'll be able to play vs. the Cowboys on Thursday night. “I’m not sure right now, if I’m being honest," St. Brown said. "It’s still up in the air. I’ma try to be out there for the guys, for my teammates, but I couldn’t answer that question right now.” We'll see how St. Brown is listed on tomorrow's final injury report, but fantasy owners should not be counting on him playing vs. Dallas. WR Kalif Raymond (ankle) is also expected to miss Week 14, HC Dan Campbell said. That'll leave Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa, and Tom Kennedy as Detroit's top three WRs, if St. Brown is out.
Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is believed to have suffered a low-ankle sprain in Thursday's loss to the Packers, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "St. Brown is not expected to land on IR and likely will be week-to-week," Pelissero adds. We'd consider St. Brown unlikely to play vs. the Cowboys next Thursday, but it sounds like he has a chance to make it back for Week 15's meeting with the Rams. Detroit already lost TE Sam LaPorta for the season. We'll see if WR Kalif Raymond and TE Brock Wright can make it back for the Dallas game. Isaac TeSlaa and Tom Kennedy operated as the No. 2 and 3 WRs behind Jameson Williams after St. Brown exited on Thanksgiving.
Lions QB Jared Goff assembled an ultra-efficient outing in a Week 5 win vs. the Bengals. He delivered 258 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 INTs on an 82.6% completion rate.
Lions WR Jameson Williams managed just 2 receptions for 40 yards in Sunday's win over the Browns. That marked the third straight game in which Williams caught just two passes. And the game before produced a 4-23 receiving line. But Williams drew a season-high eight targets against Cleveland. That led the team for the first time this year and accounted for 29.6% of Jared Goff's total pass attempts. Amon-Ra St. Brown led the team in the rest of the receiving categories, posting a 7-70-2 receiving line on seven targets. Kalif Raymond drew the only other three WR targets, catching two for 13 yards. Isaac TeSlaa ran a third as many routes and drew no targets.
The Lions are trading WR Tim Patrick to the Jaguars, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Detroit is getting a 2026 sixth-round pick in return. Patrick caught just 33 balls for 394 yards and three scores for the Lions last year, after missing the previous two seasons with ACL (2022) and Achilles (2023) injuries.
Lions WR Isaac TeSlaa caught both of his targets for 41 yards and a score in Saturday's preseason finale against the Texans. The TD came on a 'go' ball down the right sideline. TeSlaa got a step on his defender and made a smooth over-the-shoulder catch in the end zone.
The Lions selected Arkansas WR Isaac TeSlaa with the 70th pick of Round 70th in the 2025 NFL Draft. TeSlaa ran a 4.43 40-time at 6’4 and 214 pounds, outstanding athleticism. TeSlaa started out at D-II Hillsdale, where he stayed from 2020-2022.He started his final two seasons and earned Conference Player of the Year honors in ‘22 (68-1,325-13). His production dipped after transferring to Arkansas. The jump in competition led to only 34-351-2 on a 21.5% target share. TeSlaa’s usage declined with a 9% share in 2024, although he popped as a vertical slot with 19.0 yards per catch on 28 receptions. He had a 9.93 Relative Athletic Score (RAS) based on his predraft testing. He also ranked 49th among Combine WRs in 2024 Target Share at 8.9%, and 35th among those WRs in PFF Receiving Grade with a 70.5. He is currently 22 years old with a Breakout Age of 19.3. He ranked 33rd among WRs in our Draft Sharks predraft Rookie Model scoring a 5.89. Our Comp for him in our Rookie Guide is Matt Jones. His special teams ability and raw upside makes him a potential dynasty stash.
