Colts QB Anthony Richardson has been downgraded to Doubtful for Sundays game against the Jaguars. QB Joe Flacco will start for the Colts, most likely giving the offense a very different feel and game plan
Adam Schefter of ESPN: “Colts downgraded QB Anthony Richardson (oblique) to doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars.
Colts QB Joe Flacco is now in line to start Sunday.”
Richardson was diagnosed with an oblique injury during Week 4 against the Steelers. He will now miss the Jaguars game.
Flacco starting is good news for pass catchers like Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs as the Colts may have more passing volume with Flacco instead of Richardson.
With RB Jonathan Taylor also out of the game, the Colts offense will look different on Sunday
Richardson missed most of last season with a shoulder A/C joint sprain and now will miss time again with another injury sustained while running the football.
It is unlikely this will put Richardson on the bench long term, but fantasy managers have to start to worry about his play style and injury history along with his effectiveness in what has been a volatile early season so far.
The main reason to pass on the star tight end in your fantasy football draft has nothing to do with him. But you might want to target these other Raiders.
