After missing Week 17 with a concussion, third-round rookie WR Pat Bryant returned to the lineup and led Denver's WR corps in targets (5), receptions (4), and yards (31) in Denver's 19-3 victory over the Chargers. Los Angeles rested starters and passed for only 104 yards, so the Broncos were able to control the clock with the run game and attempted only 23 passes. But Bryant's usage continued a trend of being Denver's No. 2 WR. Since their Week 12 bye, Bryant has out-snapped Franklin in three of his four games, with both wideouts playing 42 snaps in Week 16.
Fantasy Football Impact
Since the bye, Bryant has posted a 62% snap share, 71% route rate, and 17% target share. He ranks second to Courtland Sutton in all three of those categories.
Franklin ranks third with a 45% snap share, 58% route rate, and 11% target share.
Bryant has now topped a 60% route rate in seven straight games and has three-plus receptions in his last five.
Denver employs 11 personnel on 63% of their snaps, which is the 11th-highest rate in the league. That means all three of the team's top WRs remain fantasy-relevant. But it appears Bryant has the upper hand leading into the AFC playoffs.
The Broncos have a bye and will wait to host the winner of the Texans vs. Steelers Wild Card battle on Monday.
