WR Adam Thielen announced Wednesday that he's retiring from the NFL. Thielen landed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2013, spending the season on Minnesota's practice squad. He, of course, then spent the next 12 years in the league: nine of those with Minnesota before a two-year Carolina stint and a 2025 split between the Vikings and Steelers (after a late-August trade from Carolina to Minnesota). Thielen finishes his career with 704 catches, 8,497 receiving yards, and 64 TDs.
Fantasy Football Impact
That would be a terrific career for just about any WR, but it stands even more impressive vs. Thielen's starting point.
Of course, his final season included just 1.2 receptions per game across two teams after a WR-hungry Carolina franchise traded him away.
So this move makes no real fantasy impact for the short or long term.
