The Buccaneers and TE Cade Otton agreed to a new deal just after free agency opened on Monday. No word yet on details of the fresh contract. Otton was considered one of the top TEs on the market, although that's more because of his well-rounded game than his dynamism as a pass catcher.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Otton has been a steady presence for the Bucs since arriving in 2022. He posted a 42-391-2 line as a rookie in 2022, climbed to 455 yards in 2023, and has caught 59 balls in each of the last two seasons.
Otton has averaged just 9.7 yards per catch for his career, though, with 11 total TDs. Here are his finishes among TEs in PPR points per game:
- 2022: 29th
- 2023: 27th
- 2024: 12th
- 2025: 29th
Otton could find a bit more target opportunity in 2026 if WR Mike Evans doesn't return to Tampa Bay. But, even then, the Bucs would boast a relatively strong WR trio in Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan.
Otton won't be worth a pick in most redraft leagues this summer. He's just a floor-based TE2 or TE3 in best ball drafts.
