Former Eagles WR Jahan Dotson is joining the Falcons on a two-year deal worth $15 million. The agreement includes $10 million fully guaranteed, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Dotson enters a WR room that'll be without Darnell Mooney for the first time since 2023.
Last year, Mooney averaged 4.8 targets per game on an offense that ranked 23rd in pass rate (54.5%). Dotson's contract suggests he'll have a good shot to fill Mooney's role as the No. 2 WR, but that doesn't mean he'll be a valuable fantasy piece.
Just consider Dotson's production arc. He posted 35 catches, 523 yards, and 7 TDs as a 2022 rookie. But since then, he's combined for 86-996-5 in three seasons, the past two as a depth piece in Philadelphia.
Then there's the QB situation. The Falcons have reported interest in Tua Tagovailoa, as 2025 starter Michael Penix Jr. is rehabbing an ACL tear. Neither guy projects as a true asset for Dotson, especially as the likely fourth target behind Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Bijan Robinson.
Sure, he's fine to take a shot on late in deep best ball formats. But when summer redrafts heat up, it's hard to imagine the 26-year-old as a primary late-round target.
We'll also see if Atlanta sinks draft capital into a rookie WR.
