Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
Friday, 3 p.m. ET
Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs
After a slow start, Mahomes has finished as a top-5 fantasy QB in two of his past four outings. Friday turns up an excellent scoring matchup vs. Vegas. The Chiefs are implied for a healthy 27.75 points.
Los Angeles Chargers at Atlanta Falcons
Justin Herbert, Chargers
Herbert's finished as a top-13 fantasy QB in five straight weeks. He draws a Falcons pass D that’s allowed the third most fantasy points per game over the past five weeks.
Kirk Cousins, Falcons
Cousins has finished as a top-15 fantasy QB in only four of 11 games. He’s also dealing with a couple of banged up WRs in Drake London (hip) and Darnell Mooney (hamstring). The QB is best off as a low-end QB2 against the Chargers.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow, Bengals
Burrow has been a top-three fantasy QB in each of his last three games. With Tee Higgins back, Burrow has been on fire. But note: The Steelers defense hasn't allowed a QB1 game this season, so Burrow might bring a lower ceiling into the weekend.
Russell Wilson, Steelers
Wilson has been a solid but unspectacular QB since taking the starting job for the Steelers. We have seen Justin Fields being folded in a bit, but Wilson was still useful last week throwing for 270 yards and a TD. The Bengals are bottom 10 in the league in points allowed to QBs throwing, so Wilson can be a good QB2.
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars
C.J. Stroud, Texans
Stroud has missed some throws and had two TDs to WR Nico Collins called back by penalties over the last two weeks. But this Texans passing game feels close to a big game. Sunday presents a perfect opportunity for it. The Jaguars rank dead last by wide margins in both pass defense DVOA and adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs.
Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings
Sam Darnold, Vikings
Darnold has rebounded from a crappy outing at Jacksonville in Week 10 to deliver 2 TDs with no INTs each of the past two games. There’s some downside risk against a Cardinals defense that has held three straight opponents to 10 offensive points or less. But Minnesota has fallen short of 20 just once all year.
Kyler Murray, Cardinals
Murray has displayed a WIDE range of outcomes over just his past four games. That included fantasy finishes of QB11, QB30, QB4, and QB24. The Minnesota defense has become a near-neutral matchup for QB scoring, most recently allowing a QB4 finish to Caleb Williams in Week 12 and 295 passing yards to Will Levis the week before that. But the Vikings also still rank second-best in pass defense DVOA and No. 1 in total defensive DVOA. That all combines to make Murray a fringe QB1 rather than an attractive Week 13 play.
Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots
Anthony Richardson, Colts
Richardson took a step back as a passer last week, although we thought he played better than the box score suggests. He gets a much easier matchup this Sunday against the Patriots, who rank 31st in pass defense DVOA and 24th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs. Just as importantly, Richardson has carried 10 times in two straight games, giving him exciting rushing upside.
Drake Maye, Patriots
Maye's QB18 fantasy finish last week was his worst among six full outings. He remains a strong QB2 play and a lower-level QB1 spot starter for Sunday's home game against the Colts, who rank 18th in pass defense DVOA and 23rd in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs.
Seattle Seahawks at New York Jets
Geno Smith, Seahawks
The Jets’ defense has slipped recently, allowing top-5 fantasy finishes to Anthony Richardson and Kyler Murray in their past two games. Both games included 2 rushing TDs by the QBs. But the Jets have also yielded 3 total TDs to four of the past six QBs they’ve faced. That leaves upside for Smith, though there’s room for the Jets to rebound coming out of the bye. Smith has also thrown 1 TD pass or fewer in three of his past four outings and topped 1 TD pass in just two games all year. And his team has averaged just 15 offensive points per game over that span. Smith might wind up all right but doesn’t look like a strong Week 13 option.
Aaron Rodgers, Jets
Rodgers comes back from the bye off two straight games of less than 200 yards passing. He hasn’t reached 250 since Week 7. Seattle’s defense has also improved, now sitting 12th in pass DVOA. Rodgers ultimately needs to prove he has the upside to be a lineup target in 1-QB formats.
Tennessee Titans at Washington Commanders
Will Levis, Titans
Levis has quietly ranked as a top-10 fantasy QB in two of his past three matchups. He’s a streaming option this week vs. a Washington that’s allowed 20+ fantasy points to four straight QBs.
Jayden Daniels, Commanders
Daniels’ recent form suggests his fantasy floor has dipped. Prior to Week 12's overall QB1 finish, Daniels slotted as the QB23 (Week 10) and QB24 (Week 11). There’s concern that teams have figured out OC Kliff Kingsbury’s 2024 offense, but Daniels’ rushing potential keeps him in the QB1 mix. Tennessee will also remain without CB L'Jarius Sneed.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers
Mayfield didn’t throw a TD for the first time this season but still was a QB1 last week thanks to his legs. He has been a QB1 in eight games this year, making him a solid starter. Now, he faces one of the worst pass defenses in the league. Lock Mayfield in as a fantasy starter.
Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints
Matthew Stafford, Rams
Stafford heads to an indoor matchup to face a Saints squad allowing nearly 7.7 YPA. Opposing offenses have also combined to post the sixth-highest pass rate over expected against New Orleans’ D. With Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp healthy, Stafford brings QB1 potential into Week 13.
Philadelphia Eagles at Baltimore Ravens
Jalen Hurts, Eagles
Baltimore’s struggling pass defense has fared better the past two games but still ranks just 19th in pass DVOA. Hurts, meanwhile, had topped 20 fantasy points for six straight weeks before last Sunday night against the Rams. His only issue in that game, though, was the RBs scoring too much. Philly matched its season high with 37 points.
Lamar Jackson, Ravens
Jackson has delivered 3+ total TDs in three of his past four games and fallen short of 23 fantasy points (depending on your format) just twice all season. The Philly defense has been tough on QBs and makes Jackson an iffy play for DFS lineups. But it’s not enough to make him a bench candidate in full-season lineups.
San Francisco 49ers at Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen, Bills
Allen has been a QB1 in five of his past six games. Even without TE Dalton Kincaid in the lineup, Allen brings overall QB1 potential.
Brock Purdy, 49ers
Purdy is still dealing with a shoulder injury, and even if he can play, it will likely affect his play. Against one of the best pass defenses in the NFL, the stars do not align for a high-end game. Treat him as a QB2 this week.
Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos
Bo Nix, Broncos
Nix kept rolling last week with a QB8 fantasy finish. He's now cracked the top-12 in three straight weeks and six of the last eight. There's nothing scary about Monday night's matchup vs. the Browns, who rank 24th in pass defense DVOA and 14th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs.
Jameis Winston, Browns
Winston did well to deliver a QB18 finish in the snow against a tough Steelers defense last week. The task is just as difficult on Monday night in Denver. The Broncos rank sixth in pass defense DVOA and third in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs. Winston will also likely be without WR Cedric Tillman. It all leaves him as just a low-end QB2 this week.
