Missouri Edge Zion Young landed with the Ravens in Round 2 of the NFL Draft. Young finished his college career with two seasons at Mizzou, posting career bests in sacks (6.5) and tackles for loss (16.5) as a senior. That followed two years at Michigan State. Young got the most snaps per game of his career with the 2023 Spartans but put forth weak production: 26 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks.
What They're Saying
NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah: "Young is a big, powerful rusher with excellent length and competitiveness. ... He lacks an elite get-off, but he has a knack for finishing once he gets to the top of his rush. He can slide inside and rush over guards in sub situations. ... Overall, Young isn’t the most dynamic athlete, but he’s a physical presence on the edge and has three-down value."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Young's versatility should fit nicely with a new Ravens coaching staff led by former Chargers DC Jesse Minter.
Shane likes the fantasy upside on Young. I'm a little wary of Young's college production, though.
The Mizzou alum didn't exceed 5.5 tackles for loss or 2.5 sacks until his final college season. He then didn't run the 40 at the Scouting Combine, so we don't have a speed score.
Going to Baltimore also likely hurts Young's playing-time upside for 2026, vs. some other potential landing spots.
Don't expect him to stand out as a redraft target this season.
Dynasty Impact
Young looks OK as a later-round rookie pick for dynasty leagues. But don't expect him to stand out as an option in our rankings for that format either.
