The Vikings picked up the fifth-year option on WR Jordan Addison. That puts him under contract through the 2027 season for $18 million guaranteed.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Addison will look to rebound from a poor 2025.
The former Round 1 pick finished WR49 in PPR points per game, slightly below his expected finish of WR46. He was limited by poor QB play from J.J. McCarthy, who posted the worst on-target throw rate among 33 qualifiers, per Pro Football Reference (66.5%). Addison added a career-low 7.1% TD rate.
The 24-year-old certainly wasn't at his best, though. Among 110 qualifiers, Addison ranked 43rd in ESPN's Open Score, 46th in YAC Score, and 102nd in Catch Score. He notched a career-worst 14.3% drop rate.
Kyler Murray arrives to supply a talent upgrade at QB, but he's a wildcard. He's missed 27 games over the past four seasons, hitting 2,500 yards only once over that stretch.
The good news is that this offense should continue flowing through Addison and Justin Jefferson. The Vikings passed on drafting a WR and didn't sign one in free agency, which supports Addison's current projected target share of 20.5%.
His current role lands him just outside the top-40 of our PPR WR rankings.
