Falcons QB Michael Penix is throwing at the team's OTA sessions this week. He's working back from November 25 surgery to repair what was reported as a partial tear of his left ACL.

The Falcons are in Phase 2 of the offseason program, which consists of individual drills but no 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 work. It's safe to assume that Penix is still not fully cleared less than 6 months removed from knee surgery.
It looks like he's making good progress, though, and is on track to be ready at some point during training camp (as NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reported would be the case back in March).
Penix needs all the reps he can get as he battles QB Tua Tagovailoa for the starting job in new HC Kevin Stefanski's offense. We're currently projecting the healthier Tagovailoa to win the Week 1 job, but we also expect both guys to make starts this season.
Neither is more than a QB3 in best-ball drafts.
