The Giants are signing WR Odell Beckham Jr., according to multiple reports. Beckham started his pro career in New York, where he averaged 1,374 yards and 11.7 TDs over his first three seasons. Injuries have been a problem since, most notably a fractured ankle in 2017 and a torn ACL in 2020. Beckham was traded to Cleveland in between those two injuries in 2019. He also bounced to the Rams, Ravens, and Dolphins over the past few seasons. Beckham now re-joins the Giants, who have a rehabbing Malik Nabers and very little else at WR.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Beckham caught just nine balls for 55 scoreless yards for the Dolphins in 2024 and did not play at all this past season. He'll turn 34 in November.
In other words, he's a long shot for 2026 fantasy value. He's probably not even a lock to make the final roster. That might depend on:
- Nabers' progress in his knee rehab
- Rookie Malachi Fields' development
We'll keep tabs on Beckham and the rest of this WR corps throughout the summer. But he's not worth a pick in fantasy drafts right now.
Other Winners & Losers
The Giants also signed WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster and Braxton Berrios on Monday. Neither is likely to be a significant factor this season (although Smith-Schuster might have a better chance than Beckham).
But we do wonder if these signings are another bad sign for Nabers' status. He underwent a second knee surgery recently, and HC John Harbaugh admitted that Nabers might not be ready for Week 1.
The PUP list, which would cost him the first four games of the season, is a real possibility for Nabers.
