Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. sat out team activities in May and June, including OTA practices and mandatory minicamp, after participating in voluntary minicamp in April. That absence stands out because Fannin injured his groin ahead of Week 17 against the Steelers, reinjured it during the game, and then missed Week 18. The Browns don’t need to explain the absence, but it would be worth watching if that groin injury is still limiting him.
What They're Saying
Zac Jackson, The Athletic: “What’s obvious is the Browns have upgraded their pass-catching group, and that’s with rising star tight end Harold Fannin Jr. sitting out the spring.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Fannin’s absence isn’t a concern yet, but missing practices across two different months is unusual when it’s still unclear whether this is health- or contract-related.
Nothing to do in drafts yet. If he's still out when camp opens, he gets harder to draft early.
Because Fannin ended last season injured, the groin is a reasonable explanation for his absence. This could simply be precautionary, especially with spring practices meaning little in the bigger picture. But it’s still worth monitoring.
This shouldn’t affect Fannin’s ADP or fantasy value right now, especially without knowing whether the absence is injury-related. We currently rank him TE7 in PPR leagues, and he can still be taken there with the likelihood nothing lingers into the season.
If Fannin misses the start of training camp in mid-July because of the injury, his ADP could fall.
