Kyle Pitts Headshot

The Falcons have agreed to a three-year extension with TE Kyle Pitts worth $54 million, according to multiple reports. That includes $36 million in guarantees. Atlanta applied the franchise tag in March to keep Pitts from hitting the free-agent market.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact

The extension obviously doesn’t come as a big surprise for a guy who just got tagged, but there had still been some trade rumors around Pitts.

Instead, the Falcons are locking him in through 2028. If he doesn’t sign another extension before the end of the deal, that would allow Pitts to hit free agency at age 28.

His fantasy scoring rebounded in 2025 after a couple of down years impacted at least in part by a difficult return from a 2022 knee injury.

Pitts heads toward 2026 as the favorite to rank second in targets behind WR Drake London under a new coaching staff. He sits among the top 9 TEs in our 2026 rankings across scoring formats.
