Giants WR Malik Nabers opened training camp in individual drills, and ESPN's Jordan Raanan said he “looked good” in videos of him running. Nabers tore multiple ligaments in his knee in the second quarter of the Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Earlier this year, he underwent a scar-tissue cleanup procedure on the knee, but with him back on the field this early, Week 1 looks like a strong possibility.
What They're Saying: Good Signs on Day 1
Jordan Raanan, ESPN: “Malik Nabers looks good. This was the first time we've seen him run since the knee injury. He participated in individual drills at the Giants' first practice of the summer. Have to think it bodes well for Week 1.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: ADP Could Rise
There was concern about Nabers being ready for the start of the season after the “cyclops procedure” he underwent earlier this year to clean up potential issues in his knee.
Nabers still isn't out of the woods for the opener, but there's reason for optimism. He avoided the PUP list and opened training camp in individual drills.
A ramp-up in activity would further support his chances of being ready for the start of the season.
A setback or stalled progress over the next few weeks would change the outlook, so this remains worth monitoring.
We currently rank Nabers WR17 in PPR because we're projecting him to miss the first two games. If he looks ready for Week 1, he'll move up our rankings, and his ADP will likely rise, too.
Consensus PPR ADP currently has him at WR14.
