Ashton Jeanty Headshot

Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty changed his diet this offseason and is down to 207 pounds, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. Jeanty was 211 pounds at the Combine. It's a small change but one that will hopefully result in more big plays from Jeanty this season.

What They're Saying

Breer: "Jeanty has thinned out, down to 207 pounds after changing his diet, and is showing explosion and violence running without pads on—and if that carries over like it should, then [HC Klint] Kubiak will have a pretty valuable centerpiece for the run game that serves as the foundation for his scheme."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: More Big Plays Would Boost The Ceiling

Jeanty managed just 3.7 yards per carry last year and struggled to find big runs. Only 1.9% of his carries went for 15+ yards, 46th among 51 qualifying RBs.

Jeanty found little room to run behind one of the league's worst offensive lines. But even isolating runs where he wasn't contacted behind the line of scrimmage, he still ranked 46th with 3.6% of his carries going for 15+ yards.

Jeanty was a big-play machine in college, taking 7.9% of his career carries for 15+ yards, including 9.6% in his final season at Boise State.

The dropped weight should help, but Kubiak's scheme and an upgraded offensive line led by C Tyler Linderbaum should matter even more.

Jeanty is fairly priced in the late first round of fantasy drafts. There's still environmental risk in Vegas. But if the offense improves even to league average, he should deliver a big season.
