2026 Fantasy Football Impact: RB1 Clues Already Showing
It likely comes as no surprise that the third overall pick isn’t suiting up for the extra preseason game. The Cardinals won’t add unneeded usage to the highest-drafted running back since Saquon Barkley and one of just three running backs drafted in the top three since 2006.
The status of Tyler Allgeier, who was originally listed as the lead RB on the Cardinals’ unofficial depth chart, has yet to be announced ahead of Thursday’s game. But Love being announced as out without holding an injury tag is likely a better indication of who the true RB1 on the roster is.
So while most of the football world watches the Hall of Fame game eager for the regular season to start, Love’s preseason debut will have to wait.
