Rico Dowdle is impressing in his first training camp with the Steelers. Mark Kaboly, Steelers Correspondent for the Pat McAfee Show, writes “Even though [Jaylen] Warren is very good, Dowdle will be the unquestioned RB1 when the season starts.”

Dowdle joined his third different team in the same number of seasons, but that’s not because of his failure to produce. He’s posted at least 12.0 PPR PPG each of the past two seasons, while being a meaningful contributor as both a rusher and receiver.
Last season with the Panthers, Dowdle handled 51.2% of the team's rush attempts and drew a 9.7% target share. The season before with the Cowboys, those marks were 58.2% and 8.2%. So leading a new team's backfield as both rusher and receiver wouldn't be anything new for Dowdle.
Dowdle is currently being drafted as RB30, and he isn't even the first Steelers RB off the board. If he keeps impressing in training camp, this price won't last.
