Burden flashed greatness as a rookie, posting 2.77 yards per route run. That puts him alongside Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Puka Nacua, AJ Brown, and Odell Beckham Jr. as the only rookie wide receivers to post at least 2.50 yards per route run on 200 or more routes.
The reason we didn't see elite production despite the elite company is that we didn't see him on the field as a full-time wide receiver. Burden ranked seventh on the Bears in routes run last season with just 242.
But with Burden heading into Year 2 and DJ Moore, the Bears' leader in routes run, now with the Bills, he's expected to get the playing time of a full-time wide receiver.
Expectations are higher, and so is the hype around Burden. Harbor added, “If you haven’t yet buy that $Burden stock.”
