Jahmyr Gibbs Headshot

Jahmyr Gibbs signed a three-year, $75.75 million extension with the Lions that includes $51.5 million guaranteed. The deal carries the highest per-year average and the most guaranteed money ever for a running back, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Hold-In Over, Value Unchanged

Two days after Bijan Robinson signed and one night after Jonathan Taylor did, Gibbs inked his extension and ended his brief hold-in.

Gibbs has now posted at least 20.0 PPR points per game in back-to-back seasons, joining Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott, and Arian Foster as the only RBs to do it in their second and third NFL seasons.

Gibbs ranked third among RBs in PPR points per game last season at 21.4, with 9.9 of those points coming as a receiver. That makes his top-overall RB ADP easy to justify, especially with David Montgomery out of town.

Still just 24 and now tied to a record-breaking deal, Gibbs is expected to contend for the top spot again this season and the foreseeable future.
