The defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks' first-round pick Jadarian Price has been turning heads in his first training camp. Brian Nemhauser, a beat reporter covering the team, said on the NFL Spotlight show, “[Price] has just been a star in the first part of training camp… I can tell you he’s going to be a very good receiver.”

Price wasn't a featured back in college, never accounting for even 30% of his school's rush attempts in a season. Playing behind Jeremiyah Love can explain some of that.
But he wasn't used as a receiver out of the backfield either. Nearly the opposite, actually, as 2.2% was the highest target share of his college career. That makes Nemhauser's "good receiver" comment so interesting.
What made Price a first-round selection is his speed and explosiveness. He recorded a 10 foot and 4 inch broad jump, which ranks in the top 89th percentile among running backs tested since 1987. While he also ran a 4.49 second 40-yard dash at the scouting combine.
Those measurables have been on full display at the start of Seahawks training camp.
