Mitchell Tinsley Headshot

Mitchell Tinsley, who was recently released by the Bengals, is signing with the Texans per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. Tinsley joins a recent slew of wide receivers brought in by the team since Jayden Higgins went down for the season with an ACL injury.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Better Spot, Same Long Odds

After entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2023, Tinsley enjoyed his first reception last season. He played a full 17 game season for the Bengals where he accumulated 24 targets for 8 receptions and 116 yards with 2 touchdowns.

With the Bengals drafting Colbie Young and bringing in Dohnte Meyers, Tinsley was left just outside the roster bubble.

That might work in his favor, though, as he now lands with a Texans team where the competition for targets is much friendlier, going from a depth chart with Tee Higgins as the No. 2 WR to one with Xavier Hutchinson.

Tinsley remains a long shot for fantasy relevance, but landing with the Texans gives him a better chance to matter.
