The Steelers mustered only three points against the New England Patriots in Week 2. QB Aaron Rodgers only completed 59% of his passes for 187 yards. The two starting RBs (Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle) combined to rush 18 times for 65 yards, 3.61 yards per carry. WR D.K. Metcalf had his second straight week with a dropped pass. It’s possible the offense just won’t carry much fantasy value going forward.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact
There weren’t many positives in general, though the Patriots appear to be a strong defense that has held both the Seahawks and Steelers in check (though Rodgers and Drew Lock may not be the best examples of competent QBs).
TE Pat Freiermuth was one bright spot, catching 4 of 5 targets for 32 yards. Rookie WR Germie Bernard also drew 8 targets, catching 4 for 35 yards.
Ultimately, no Steelers are definite starts going forward. Next week they face a resurging Bengals defense that just held a banged-up Texans’ offense to 6 points. That will be followed by games against the Browns, Colts, and Buccaneers.
