Titans QB Cam Ward enters Monday night with the 11th-best fantasy score among Week 2 QBs. But his performance against the Eagles didn't portend an ascension to your fantasy lineup. Ward built his score almost entirely on a pair of 1-yard rushing TDs, the first following a 92-yard return of an INT by S Amani Hooker. Ward completed 13 of his 20 passes for 183 yards on the day, going without a TD or an INT.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Ward Still Doesn't Deserve Your Attention
It wasn't a bad outing for Ward, who also took just 2 sacks and 3 total QB hits. But he needs to show more before we can consider him a real option for fantasy lineups.
If Ward remains among the top 12 QBs for the week through the Monday night contest, it would mark just the second top-12 finish so far in his career.
Tennessee's low passing volume against the Eagles -- 24 dropbacks vs. 27 run plays -- shouldn't count against Ward. The Titans stayed close all the way until Philly's game-winning TD late in the fourth quarter. And RBs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears combined for 5.0 yards per carry on their 21 rushes.
But Ward still has plenty to prove as a passer, especially after his uglier Week 1 against the Jets (59.4% completions, 4.4 yards per attempt).
He also now faces a potentially difficult string of matchups:
- at Giants
- at Ravens
- home vs. Texans
The limitations of Ward and his passing offense are also damaging the fantasy values of Titans pass catchers.
Offense Dragging Down WRs
Rookie WR Carnell Tate led Tennessee with just 5 targets and 3 catches in the loss to Philadelphia.
WR Elic Ayomanor was the only other Titan who exceeded 2 targets. He caught two of his three looks or 69 yards, including a 41-yarder in the fourth quarter.
WR Wan'Dale Robinson managed 1 catch for 9 yards on 1 target.
Tennessee WRs sport the sixth-fewest receptions through two weeks.
