Tony Pollard Headshot

Tennessee RBs averaged 4.6 yards per carry in Sunday's narrow home loss to Philadelphia. Tony Pollard led with 64 yards on 14 carries (4.6 per rush). Tyjae Spears followed with 41 yards on 7 attempts (5.9). Rookie Nicholas Singleton added 10 yards on four third-quarter rushes. Singleton's action came entirely on one drive, while Spears was out with an apparent left-leg issue. But Spears later returned.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Spears Shows Upside, Remains Limited

That span likely accounted for the playing-time gap between Pollard and Spears vs. the Eagles. Pollard played 29 snaps to Spears' 19 after Week 1 went Pollard 26 to Spears 25.

Pollard also logged three more pass routes but gained just 1 yard on his lone catch.

Spears, meanwhile, delivered two of the offense's three longest plays. First came a 27-yard catch-and-run on his final touch of the first half. Spears later ran 27 yards to convert a third-and-22 in the fourth quarter.

Pollard certainly did enough in this contest to maintain his role, but the Tennessee offense clearly needs Spears' explosiveness.

We'll see whether that can turn into enough touches to make him startable in common-sized fantasy leagues. Spears at least holds intriguing upside in case of a Pollard injury.

Rookie Gets Involved

Singleton was a healthy scratch in the Week 1 loss to the Jets, so simply making the gameday roster in Week 2 marked improvement. He still has plenty more ground to cover before he approaches fantasy relevance, though.
