The Michael Penix-led Falcons exploded for 35 points in Thursday night's win over the Packers. Surely TE Kyle Pitts got on track, right? Right? Nope. Pitts finished with 1 catch for 5 yards. His 2 targets tied with 5 other Falcons for third on the team, behind WRs Drake London and Jahan Dotson. London and RB Bijan Robinson were the engines of the offense, combining for 407 of Atlanta's 498 total yards (82%). Pitts was a total afterthought.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Hold, But Hard To Trust
It was easy to blame Pitts' lack of production over the first 2 weeks on QB Cooper Rush. But Pitts' usage was also concerning in those games: A 57% route rate and 7.4% target share.
Pitts at least rebounded to a 73% route rate in Week 3, a decent mark but still below last year's 86%. And he drew just 8% of Penix's targets.
Disappointing production has been a consistent problem for Pitts with a healthy London. Pitts had some big games when London was banged up late last season. But in 12 games with London, he averaged just 9.6 PPR points per game. That would have ranked 20th among TEs last year.
Pitts' route rate and Penix's strong Week 3 make him worth holding on all fantasy rosters. But he'll be tough to trust in Week 4 fantasy lineups.
Pitts looks like the clear No. 3 weapon on an offense that will struggle to support 3 fantasy-viable starters.
