Travis Etienne Headshot

Saints HC Kellen Moore confirmed that RB Travis Etienne will miss time with his hamstring injury. Exactly how much time remains unclear. It's worth noting that New Orleans has a Week 8 bye, so Etienne could miss 4 games, take the bye week, and return for Week 9. We'll see if he lands on IR later this week.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact

Etienne is worth keeping stashed in deeper fantasy leagues, but he's not a must-hold if you're hurting for a roster spot. He was working in a 3- and sometimes 4-RB committee before going down and was looking like no better than a RB3 in fantasy lineups.

His absence leaves Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller atop the depth chart. Kamara tallied 6 carries and 0 targets to Miller's 4 carries and 2 targets after Etienne left the Week 3 loss to the Raiders. We're likely looking at something close to an even split between those guys, and RB C.J. Donaldson also figures to mix in for some snaps.

Kamara and Miller are worth adding in most fantasy leagues, but don't count on either as more than a RB3 or flex play.
