The Broncos are placing RB RJ Harvey on short-term IR because of the knee injury he suffered in practice this week. That'll knock him out for at least four games, though it doesn't sound like the team expects him to remain out longer than that. The timing helps by giving Harvey extra time via the Week 10 bye. He'll be eligible to return for the Week 13 home date with the Dolphins.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Jonah Coleman Gains Pass-Game Upside
Harvey has averaged just 4.0 carries per game through six appearances this season, so his absence shouldn't significantly alter the rushing volume for other Denver RBs.
He ranks eighth among all RBs in targets and tied for sixth in receptions, though. A 10-catch visit to San Francisco boosted those numbers quite a big, but Harvey certainly leaves a bigger void in the passing game.
That's likely to help Jonah Coleman more than J.K. Dobbins. Coleman ran eight pass routes to Dobbins' two in last Sunday's win over the Cardinals. For the season, Dobbins has played just 71 of the team's 256 total pass snaps, despite Coleman missing four games.
Coleman already led Dobbins in our Week 8 rankings after pacing Denver RBs in Week 7 playing time and touches. Expect that to continue, barring some dramatic shift in usage.
