Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson posted season-highs in carries (19) and yards (82) in Sunday’s win over the Dolphins. He added 3 catches for 8 yards, seeing the boosted workload with TreVeyon Henderson inactive.
What They're Saying
HC Mike Vrabel complimented Stevenson following the win (via X).
“He certainly does a lot for us. He’s a versatile running back. He’s very good in protection. Plays extremely well without the football. Whether that’s chasing to try to help the guy get extra yards or protecting the guy with the ball. Yeah, ball security is critical. But, his protection on third down and when they blitz, I think that’s a strength of his. And so, I think the things that he does on the football field tell me that he cares deeply about the team. I’ve enjoyed coaching him. I love how his growth has been as a leader in the running back room and in the offense. And then again, I’ll go back and say that there were times last year, when he didn’t take of the ball, that we did a terrible, [expletive] job of protecting him. And again, there were times where he didn’t have good technique and there were times that we didn’t protect him. So, I think he’s continued to work hard at that. Running hard and gaining yards after contact, but also taking care of the football.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Rainy conditions helped produce 28 Patriots RB carries on Sunday. Corey Kiner handled 7 of those attempts for 38 yards, with his first touch arriving on New England's third drive.
But Stevenson clearly controlled the backfield. He outsnapped Kiner 76% to 19% and held an even larger advantage in route rate (70% to 7%).
Stevenson also impressed with a 68.4% rushing success rate, second-best among Week 8 RBs with at least 8 attempts.
Henderson figures to return from illness for the Green Bay matchup, but Stevenson should remain New England's top fantasy option. The Packers offer a slightly favorable draw, giving Stevenson a solid shot at RB2 production. Detroit presents a neutral matchup the following week before the Patriots hit their Week 11 bye.
