Aldrick Robinson Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (rib) is inactive for today’s game against the Lions. He’ll get a Week 10 bye to heal up. Laquon Treadwell and Aldrick Robinson figure to serve as Minnesota’s #2 and #3 WRs today, but both are just fantasy fliers. Adam Thielen should soak up a boatload of targets.

The Vikings expect to go without WR Stefon Diggs today against the Lions, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Diggs is dealing with a rib injury that kept him out of practice all week. His absence would likely mean more playing time for Aldrick Robinson. The switch certainly dings the upside of QB Kirk Cousins, but we wouldn't dramatically alter his fantasy outlook.

The 49ers have inked WR Aldrick Robinson. He follows HC Kyle Shanahan from Atlanta to San Francisco. Robinson set a career high in catches under Shanny last year, although the 20 grabs still left him off the fantasy radar. There's opportunity for him to earn a larger role in a much weaker 49ers WR group, but we wouldn't bet on him emerging as a reliable fantasy asset.

Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel (foot) is out for Sunday's game against the Saints. We don't have any details on the injury or know whether he'll be available for the playoffs. Gabriel's absence leaves Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu, Justin Hardy and Aldrick Robinson as Atlanta's top 4 WRs.

Washington watched 4 players leave with injuries during Monday night's clash with Pittsburgh.  DT Barry Cofield broke his right hand, according to Redskins radio reporter Rick "Doc" Walker.  QB Kirk Cousins left with a sprained right foot.  WRs Leonard Hankerson and Aldrick Robinson departed with right knee and left thigh injuries, respectively.  No return timelines were immediately available for any of the 4 players.

Redskins WR Aldrick Robinson is starting over WR Leonard Hankerson today.  Robinson is undersized at 5'10 and 178 pounds but has plenty of speed.  He's worth monitoring but shouldn't be in fantasy lineups today.  WR Josh Morgan is starting on the other side of the field, while WR Santana Moss will continue to handle slot duties.  None of these guys are strong fantasy plays.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Redskins WR Pierre Garcon will not play against the Bengals today.  He's dealing with a nagging foot injury that hasn't seemed to improve over the past couple weeks.  WRs Josh Morgan, Leonard Hankerson, and Aldrick Robinson will split snaps outside in Garcon's absence.  All 3 guys are shaky fantasy plays.

The Redskins have listed WR Pierre Garcon (foot) as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bengals.  The foot injury continues to linger, preventing Garcon from doing much in practice this week.  In his absence last Sunday, Josh Morgan operated as the #1 WR, with Aldrick Robinson and Leonard Hankerson splitting reps on the other side of the field.  Morgan is the best fantasy bet among Washington's WR corps, but he's just a low-end WR3.

2:40pm EDT 9/16/12

As expected, Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (foot) is inactive for today's game against the Rams.  WR Aldrick Robinson is expected to start in his place but is a shaky fantasy option.  Look for RG3 to spread the ball around today.

Insider Jason La Canfora reports that the Redskins "don't expect" to have WR Pierre Garcon (foot) available for Sunday's game against the Rams.  Peter Waiter hardly practiced at all this week after leaving in the 1st quarter of the opener.  He shouldn't be in fantasy lineups, especially with Washington's late kickoff time.  Rookie WR Aldrick Robinson will likely replace Garcon in the starting lineup but is just a desperation fantasy option.
