Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is set to return for tonight's game against the Patriots, according to both ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The news on Luck has been positive all week, with the Indianapolis media seeing him throw full-bore in practice. The Colts played it safe with him all along, so we're not worried about the shoulder. Luck has thrown 10 INTs in 4 games vs. the Patriots but also topped 300 yards with 2 TDs in 3 of them. He's a high-end QB1 for Week 6.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s night’s game against the Patriots. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday. Colts beat writers saw him throwing full-bore. HC Chuck Pagano said Friday afternoon that there’s a “good chance” Luck plays vs. the Pats. Despite the late kickoff, we’d feel comfortable penciling him into fantasy lineups.
Colts owner Jim Irsay expects QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) to return for this weekend's game against the Patriots. "I really think that, unless something happens, I see him being a go Sunday," Irsay said. "I'm not saying 100 percent for sure, but I think there's a strong likelihood he's a go. I was with him [Thursday], and he's feeling a lot better." Luck has been trending in the right direction all week, and this is the best sign we've seen for his status yet. Fantasy owners can go ahead and pencil Luck into Week 6 lineups.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Thursday for the 2nd straight day. The Indianapolis media has seen him throwing much more this week than he has in the previous couple. We're expecting him to play against the Patriots on Sunday night, but it's certainly not a lock. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Colts HC Chuck Pagano refused on Wednesday to commit to QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) returning for this weekend's game against the Patriots. “If he’s ready to go, we’ll put him out there,” Pagano said. “Just like anybody else that’s coming back from something… we’re going to evaluate him, then we’re going to make a decision. If it comes down to a Sunday game-day decision, if he’s got to go out and warm up, then we’ll look at it. If he’s ready, and he can help us, and he can play the entire game, then we’ll have him up, and it’s no different than anyone else on the team.” Luck was officially listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, but insider Zak Keefer saw him make "real football throws." Luck was encouraged by the workout. “Certainly took the next step,” he said. “Absolutely. Did more and felt better and better. I think I’m on track. So, yeah, happy with how I responded." We'll continue to track Luck's progress over the next few days.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) was a full participant in Monday's practice, according to HC Chuck Pagano. The team still considers him "day to day," but it sounds like Luck is on track for Sunday's game against the Patriots. We'll continue to track his progress this week.
Colts HC Chuck Pagano said after Thursday night's win that he's "supremely confident" QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) will be back for Week 6. Pagano, of course, said the same thing ahead of Indy's Week 4 game against the Jaguars, which Luck missed. He has 10 days to get ready for next Sunday's game against the Patriots, but owners still need to have a backup option ready. We'll continue to keep a close eye on Luck's progress.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) will not play tonight against the Texans. It's unclear if he even tried to throw today. He'll have 10 days to get ready for Week 6, but we can't consider him a lock for that one. QB Matt Hasselbeck gets another start tonight after holding his own 4 days ago. But the 40-year-old didn't throw at all this week and was actually in the hospital until 2 am on Tuesday with a virus. Avoid Hasselbeck in fantasy lineups. WRs T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief are shaky starters. Expect a heavy dose of RB Frank Gore.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Texans. No surprise there. Luck was limited in practice all week, and we don't know exactly how much he threw. We'll find out his status by 7 pm ET tomorrow night. If active, Luck will be more of a mid-range QB1 with a high ceiling but lower floor than usual.
Colts HC Chuck Pagano remained non-committal on Tuesday when asked about QB Andrew Luck's status for Thursday night's game against the Texans. Luck, officially listed as limited, took "most of the snaps" in practice. Pagano added that his QB is "trending in the right direction" but that the team needs to "do the smart thing." Luck is again shaping up as a game-time decision.
Colts HC Chuck Pagano said QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) "looked good" on Monday. He was officially limited in practice and threw just a couple of short screen passes in the portion open to the media. "Trending in the right direction," Pagano added. "A lot better than he was Saturday." For what it's worth, insider Zak Keefer believes it's "pretty clear" that Luck will return for Thursday night's game against the Colts. We'll see. There have been mixed signals on Luck's status for the past week now.
Colts QB Andrew Luck is dealing with a partially separated shoulder, or a "subluxation," according to Indy Sports Central's Chris Hagan. The major concerns at this point are "pain and arm strength," Hagan adds. Luck has reportedly consulted with at least 3 different experts for a diagnosis and rehab plan. Per Dr. David Chao, a former NFL head team physician, Luck's timeline for return depends largely on whether his labrum is torn. Chao adds that rehab for this injury is generally measured in "weeks, not days." It sounds like Luck is nowhere near a lock to play against the Texans on Thursday night. Stay tuned for updates.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is expected to return Thursday night vs. Houston. Matt Hasselbeck, making his 1st start since 2012, notched 282 yards and 1 TD in a win over Jacksonville. But it sounds like the 40-year-old will be one-and-done, as NFL insider Ian Rapoport says Luck’s hurt shoulder “isn’t viewed as a long-term injury.” If active, fantasy owners should confidently plug Luck back into lineups.
The Colts will put QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) through another workout on Monday. “He’s getting treatment right now," HC Chuck Pagano said after the win over the Jaguars. "He’ll work out (Monday) and we’ll take it day-to-day and see where he’s at." Luck has just a few days to get ready for Thursday night's tilt with the Texans. We'll continue to closely track his progress.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is officially inactive for today’s game against the Jaguars. 40-year-old QB Matt Hasselbeck gets the start in his place. Check out our updated projections for the Colts offense.
Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is out for today's game against the Jaguars, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. There's no structural damage to his throwing shoulder, but the team must not have liked what it saw when Luck threw on Saturday. We'll see if he can get ready in time for Thursday's game in Houston. His absence today means that the 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck will make his first start since 2012. Despite plenty of weapons and a favorable matchup, Hasselbeck is a low-end QB2. He also pulls down the ceiling of all of Indy's pass-catchers. Expect to see lots of RB Frank Gore today.
