Jets WR ArDarius Stewart has been suspended 2 games for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. Stewart is coming off a disappointing 6-catch rookie campaign for a Jets squad that could have used some pass-catching help. Fellow 2nd-year WR Chad Hansen has drawn more buzz this offseason. Stewart is well off the redraft radar -- and his dynasty stock has taken a significant hit over the past 12 months.

Jets WR ArDarius Stewart caught 5 balls for 82 yards and 2 TDs in Saturday's preseason game. The majority of the damage came in the 2nd half against Giants backups, but it was still an encouraging outing for a Jets passing game that could use some good news. In a wide-open WR corps, Stewart's performance might be enough to earn him a Week 1 starting job opposite Robby Anderson. That doesn't make him worth drafting outside of best-ball leagues, but keep Stewart on your waiver-wire watch list.

The Jets have placed WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) on IR, ending his 2017 season. We still don't know much about the neck injury that he dealt with this spring and evidently aggravated on Sunday. Enunwa leaves behind inarguably the worst WR corps in the league. Robby Anderson is the best guess to lead the group in targets -- only because the rest of the group reads: Marquess Wilson, ArDarius Stewart, Chad Hansen, Charone Peake. We'll see who emerges from the ragtag bunch, but Jets WRs won't be a source of much fantasy goodness this season. Enunwa's injury does boost the target projections for RBs Bilal Powell and Matt Forte -- as well as sleeper TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Update: HC Todd Bowles said Monday afternoon that Enunwa has a bulging disk in his neck and is expected to be out 6-9 months. It's a big blow to a guy who's set to hit free agency next offseason.

Jets HC Todd Bowles revealed that WR ArDarius Stewart recently had surgeries on both his thumb and groin. He's tentatively expected to be ready for the start of training camp but will miss minicamp practices this week. That's not ideal for a rookie who has a shot to carve out a role this year. We'll see if Stewart is ready when the Jets head to training camp next month.

The Jets have informed WR Eric Decker that he'll be traded or released this week, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move will save the rebuilding Jets a little over $7 million this season. It'll also see them lose their only proven pass-catcher. New York's WR depth chart now reads: Quincy Enunwa, Robby Anderson, ArDarius Stewart, Chad Hansen and Charone Peake. That group will try to catch passes from some combination of Josh McCown, Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg. God speed, Jets fans. Decker, meanwhile, should find a new job relatively quickly. And it figures to be in a spot much more conducive to fantasy production.

The Jets added Alabama WR ArDarius Stewart in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He didn’t put up big numbers in a stacked and run-leaning Crimson Tide offense. But Stewart flashed big-play ability, averaging 16.0 yards per catch last year and even carrying 8 times for 68 yards. The 5’11, 204-pounder ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash at the Combine but finished with a middling 47th percentile SPARQ score. Stewart looks much more like a complementary receiver than a lead dog at the next level, but there’s certainly opportunity in New York. Eric Decker is 30 and coming off a pair of offseason surgeries, while the rest of the depth chart is led by Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson.
