Texans HC Bill O'Brien admitted on Thursday that RB Arian Foster (groin) is a game-time decision for this weekend's tilt with the Browns.  Foster has yet to practice this week, which is a major concern considering he's coming off a bye week.  The good news is that we'll know his status by noon ET on Sunday.  Foster will be risky if active but will need to be in fantasy lineups against Cleveland's mediocre run defense.  If Foster is out, Alfred Blue will be a good bet for 15+ touches.

Texans HC Bill O'Brien said Wednesday that RB Arian Foster (groin) is "definitely day to day."  Insider Tania Ganguli tweeted that O'Brien "seemed less optimistic" about Foster than he did about Jadeveon Clowney and Brian Cushing.  Previous reports had Foster likely to play against the Browns this weekend, but it doesn't sound like he's a lock.  We'll continue to track his status throughout the week.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Texans RB Arian Foster (groin) is "unlikely" to miss time with his groin injury.  "Just rest and be back soon," Rapoport adds.  Foster is getting a perfectly timed Week 10 bye.  It sounds like he has a good chance to be ready for Week 11 against the Browns.  Foster owners should still work on getting backup RB Alfred Blue rostered.

Texans RB Arian Foster injured his groin in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.  We suppose it's better than another hamstring issue, but groins can be just as a tricky.  Foster gets a well-timed Week 10 bye.  We'll look for updates on his status beyond then.

Texans RB Arian Foster suffered an undisclosed injury in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game against the Eagles.  He slammed his helmet to the turf and then headed to the locker room with trainers.  It appeared to be a knee or hamstring issue, but we're still waiting for an update.

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Cowboys. He only got in 2 limited practices this week but was listed as “probable.” Foster won’t be a full-go but is worth keeping in fantasy lineups.

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is probable for this weekend's game against the Cowboys.  He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday.  The "probable" tag suggests he's in better shape than he was last week, but don't expect Foster to be a full-go.  Consider him a risk/reward RB2 for Week 5.

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) was non-committal on Thursday when asked about his status for this weekend's game against the Cowboys.  “I’m just going to go out there everyday and see how it feels,” he said. “If it feels good enough to play, I’ll suit up.”  Foster was limited to 54% of the offensive snaps last week but didn't appear to suffer a setback.  We're expecting him to play this Sunday, but he won't be at 100%.  It makes him a risky fantasy starter.

Texans RB Arian Foster was limited to just 39 of 72 snaps (54%) in Sunday's win over the Bills.  “I just wasn’t 100 percent healthy out there," he said afterward. “I didn’t feel 100 percent myself, so I got some third downs in at the end of the game, just to try to help out. I’m glad I could make my play when my number was called.”  Foster finished with just 6 yards on 8 carries, although he boosted his fantasy output with 7 catches for 55 yards.  He avoided a setback and should be close to or at 100% for Week 5.  Foster will be worth keeping in fantasy lineups against the Cowboys.

10:11am EDT 9/28/14

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Bills. The team’s training staff was satisfied with how he looked in pregame warmups. Beat writer Tania Ganguli says Foster’s workload will “depend on how his hamstring holds up,” and there’s always a chance of re-injury. But he still sits 15th in our Week 4 RB Rankings with 6 teams on bye.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is expected to play against the Bills today.  We'll find out for sure by noon ET.  Foster's workload might be scaled back, and there's certainly a chance he aggravates the hamstring injury.  But with 6 teams on bye, you'd need to be awfully stacked at RB to sit Foster.

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is listed as questionable after getting in 3 limited practices.  It's the same exact boat he was in last week before ending up inactive.  HC Bill O'Brien said that Foster's status for Sunday's game against the Bills won't be determined until warmups.  The good news is that we'll know whether Foster is active by noon ET.  He'll be a risky fantasy starter if he plays, but probably tough to bench with 6 teams on bye.  If Foster can't go, Alfred Blue will again serve as Houston's lead back.

Texans HC Bill O'Brien admitted that RB Arian Foster (hamstring) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with the Bills.  O'Brien said Foster "did some things" in practice on Wednesday.  He put in 3 limited practices last week, though, and then was held out on Sunday.  Houston probably won't make a call on his Week 4 status until after pregame workouts.  The good news is that we'll know Foster's status by noon ET on Sunday.  The bad news is that he'll be a risky fantasy start even if he plays.

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) put in a limited practice on Wednesday.  Of course, he was limited all last week and didn't play on Sunday, so this doesn't tell us much.  We'll see if Foster can graduate to a full practice on Thursday or Friday.  For now, consider him questionable for this weekend's game against the Bills.  Backup RB Alfred Blue should be owned in all leagues.

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) would not commit to being ready for Week 4 on Monday.  “As soon as I feel 100 percent, I’ll be out there,” he said. “It’s my hamstring’s call. I’ve played through a lot in this league – knees, shoulders, broken bones – but hamstrings are the hardest thing to gauge because you don’t know how it’s going to fatigue or react to a certain cut."  This is the same hamstring that bothered Foster throughout August.  It's approaching "chronic" territory.  RB Alfred Blue needs to be owned in all fantasy leagues as we continue to track Foster's status.

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Giants. Houston will go with a committee backfield with Alfred Blue, Jonathan Grimes and Ronnie Brown. Blue is the best bet to lead the team in touches, but he’s a risky RB3 or flex play.

NFL Network’s Albert Breer calls Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) a “long shot” to play against the Giants today. Foster was limited in practice all week, but this is the first time we’ve heard that he’s in danger of missing the game. We’ll find out his official status by noon ET, but Foster obviously needs to be on fantasy benches right now. Rookie Alfred Blue was the clear #2 RB last week and figures to lead the Texans backfield in touches today. That puts him on the RB3 radar. RBs Jonathan Grimes and Ronnie Brown will mix in behind Blue.

Texans RB Arian Foster (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Giants. He was limited in practice all week. This could just be a case of Houston playing it safe with Foster, who leads the NFL with 55 carries. We’re expecting him to play Sunday, and we’ll find out for sure by noon ET. Foster owners can add insurance in RB Alfred Blue, who would likely serve as the lead back if Foster is out.
