Jets RB Le'Veon Bell (illness) isn't listed on the final Week 15 injury report. RB Bilal Powell (ankle) has been ruled out, while RB Ty Montgomery (foot, hip) is questionable. Bell should dominate backfield touches against the Ravens on Thursday night.

Jets RB Bilal Powell suffered an ankle injury late in Sunday's win over the Dolphins. He went for an x-ray after the game, but HC Adam Gase didn't have an update on his status. Powell led the Le'Veon Bell-less backfield with 19 carries for 74 yards vs. Miami but will drop back off the fantasy radar assuming Bell is back from the flu next week.

The Jets have downgraded RB Le'Veon Bell (illness) to out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. That leaves the backfield to RBs Bilal Powell and Ty Montgomery. Over the past 5 weeks, Powell has totaled 25 carries and 6 targets to Montgomery's 8 carries and 4 targets. We'd bet on Powell leading the way tomorrow, but there's no way to know for sure what the split will look like. There's at least upside vs. Miami's 28th-ranked RB defense.

Jets RB Le’Veon Bell (illness) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Dolphins after missing practice on Thursday and Friday. Players almost always play when on the injury report with illnesses — but HC Adam Gase said Friday that he’s “unsure” if Bell will be available vs. Miami. We’ll look for an update on his status on Sunday morning. Bell’s absence would leave the Jets with a committee backfield of Bilal Powell and Ty Montgomery.

Jets HC Adam Gase said Friday morning that he's "unsure" if RB Le'Veon Bell will play against the Dolphins this weekend. Bell missed Thursday's practice with an illness and will be sidelined again on Friday. Players almost always play through illnesses -- but it's possible that Bell is dealing with something more serious. We'll get another update on his status this afternoon. His absence would leave the Jets with RBs Bilal Powell and Ty Montgomery.

Jets HC Adam Gase said RB Le'Veon Bell (knee) won't practice on Wednesday and will be monitored beyond that. His knee injury reportedly isn't serious, but he shouldn't be considered a lock to play against the Giants this weekend. Bell's absence would leave the Jets' backfield to some type of committee with Ty Montgomery, Bilal Powell and possibly Josh Adams.

Jets RB Le'Veon Bell suffered a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, HC Adam Gase said. Bell is undergoing an MRI to determine the severity. We'll update his status as soon as we know more. Bell's absence would leave Ty Montgomery as the likely leader of backfield committee alongside Bilal Powell.

The Jets on Friday re-signed RB Bilal Powell. He'll compete with Ty Montgomery, Elijah McGuire and Trenton Cannon for touches behind Le'Veon Bell. Powell averaged 11.4 carries and 1.6 receptions over his 7 games for last year's Jets. He'll turn 31 in October. We'll see if he hits August drafts as the #2 RB for the Jets.

The Jets have placed RB Bilal Powell on IR with the neck injury he suffered in last week's loss to the Vikings. He's not eligible to return until Week 16, if he's able to return at all. Powell can safely be dropped from fantasy rosters. He was averaging 11.4 carries and 2.6 targets per game this season, so it's a significant loss. RB Isaiah Crowell should soak up most of those carries. Trenton Cannon stepped in as the pass-catching back in Week 7, hauling in 4 of 5 targets for 69 yards. RB Elijah McGuire seems close to returning from the broken foot he suffered in late July and could re-emerge as a fantasy factor in the 2nd half of the season.

Jets RB Bilal Powell suffered a neck injury in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Vikings and has been ruled out. That should leave Isaiah Crowell in a 3-down role.

Vikings DT Linval Joseph (ankle, knee, shoulder) is inactive for today's game against the Jets. His absence helps the Jets' rushing outlook. Pro Football Focus grades Joseph among the top one-third of interior defenders in run D. That doesn't propel Isaiah Crowell or Bilal Powell into attractive fantasy territory, but it makes each more palatable if you need 1 of them.

Jets RB Isaiah Crowell (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Colts. He put in a limited practice on Friday after sitting out the previous 2 days. HC Todd Bowles labeled him a "Sunday decision." We'll get Crowell's official status by noon ET on Sunday, but he'll obviously come with elevated risk if active. If Crowell sits out, Bilal Powell would turn into a feature back -- and a nice RB2 in fantasy lineups.

Jets RB Isaiah Crowell (ankle) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice, putting his availability for this weekend's game against the Colts in question. Crowell's absence would turn Bilal Powell into a feature back. We'll get another update on the situation tomorrow.

The Jets have placed RB Elijah McGuire (foot) on IR. He's presumably a candidate to be designated-for-return and play the 2nd half of the season, but he's not worth a roster spot in redraft leagues. Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell are locked in as the Jets' top 2 RBs.

Jets HC Todd Bowles conceded Sunday that RB Elijah McGuire won't be ready for Week 1. He's still recovering from late-July surgery to repair a broken foot. Bowles also wouldn't rule out McGuire landing on short-term IR, according to insider Ralph Vacchiano. That'd cost him the first 8 games. McGuire obviously isn't worth a roster spot in redraft leagues. Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell will handle backfield duties for the Jets to open the season.

Jets RB Isaiah Crowell has cleared the concussion protocol, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports. So he should play in Friday night's preseason game against the Giants. Crowell ran behind RB Bilal Powell in the opener, so we're interested to see what the backfield looks like in the all-important 3rd exhibition.

Jets RB Isaiah Crowell (concussion) participated in individual drills during Saturday's practice, according to insider Andy Vasquez. We'll see if Crowell can receive full medical clearance ahead of the 3rd preseason game. He ran behind RB Bilal Powell in the 1st and missed the 2nd.

Jets RB Isaiah Crowell left Friday’s preseason game to be evaluated for a concussion. He took a hard shot to the head right at the goal line. We’ll pass along updates when they’re available, but Crowell has been a top RB value since the spring. He’s currently coming off the board around RB34.

Update: Crowell did sustain a concussion

Jets RB Elijah McGuire will undergo surgery on his broken foot and is expected to miss 3-6 weeks, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The short end of that timetable would have him back in late August; the long end would keep him out through the season opener. Foot injuries are notoriously tricky to return from, so we're considering McGuire questionable at best for Week 1. He's not worth rostering in most redraft leagues. Look for Bilal Powell to open the season in a pass-catching role behind Isaiah Crowell.
