WR Brian Quick has signed a 1-year deal with the Redskins. The 2012 2nd-rounder boasts an intriguing blend of size and athleticism, but it's yet to translate to on-field production. He totaled just 105 catches and 10 TDs in 5 seasons with the Rams, although QB play was at least partly to blame for those muted numbers. Quick joins a much better passing game in Washington. And the departures of DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon leave behind 214 targets. The 'Skins, of course, signed WR Terrelle Pryor earlier this month and return WRs Jamison Crowder and Josh Doctson. Quick is most likely to settle in as the #4, but he'll at least be worth monitoring this summer.

Rams WR Kenny Britt (shoulder) is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals after missing practice all week. Los Angeles will trot out Tavon Austin, Brian Quick and Pharoh Cooper as its top 3 WRs in the finale.

The Rams have fired HC Jeff Fisher. He finishes his 5-year stint with the team with a 31-45-1 record. None of his teams won more than 7 games or sniffed the playoffs. Most damning is that the Rams never showed any signs of progress under Fisher's watch. We'll see who Los Angeles tabs as its interim HC, but this will remain an offense best avoided in fantasy lineups the rest of the way. The Rams travel to Seattle to face a pissed-off Seahawks squad on Thursday night.

Update: Special Teams Coordinator John Fassel has been promoted to interim HC. Fassel has only been a HC for DII New Mexico Highlands University.

Rams WR Kenny Britt injured his shoulder making a block in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Packers.  He was in obvious pain as he was tended to by trainers.  His absence would open up more playing time on the outside for WRs Brian Quick and Stedman Bailey.

Update: Britt later returned but finished without a catch.

Rams WR Brian Quick will play against the Cardinals this weekend.  “Had a great week (of practice); hope it carries over to the game,'' HC Jeff Fisher said Friday.  Quick was a healthy scratch for St. Louis' first 3 games after missing most of the offseason after last year's serious shoulder injury.  But he's the most talented WR on the roster and could quickly emerge as the #1 option in the passing game.  Quick is worth monitoring closely -- and adding now in deeper leagues.

Rams HC Jeff Fisher said of WR Brian Quick on Monday that there's "a chance he'll be up this week," according to ESPN.com's Nick Wagoner. Fisher has yet to reveal exactly what has kept his team's most talented wideout inactive the 1st 3 weeks, though he did call it a "numbers" thing rather than a health issue. St. Louis needs playmakers, though. And Quick's the closest thing they have at receiver. We'd bet on seeing him at Arizona. That said, we also would have bet on seeing him long before now. Don't expect much fantasy football value from anyone in the Rams passing game against a tough Cardinals D, though.

Rams HC Jeff Fisher said WR Brian Quick's Week 1 deactivation was "numbers related" and not "physically related."  So Quick is behind Kenny Britt, Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey and Chris Givens on the depth chart.  We'd say it's tough to believe, but this is the Rams we're talking about.  Quick spent most of the offseason rehabbing last year's nasty shoulder injury but was the team's best WR in camp by most accounts.  We'd still bet on him working his way up the totem pole this year, so he's worth stashing in deep leagues.

Rams WR Brian Quick (shoulder) avoided the PUP list to open training camp and has been "moving around well," per insider Nick Wagoner.  Quick is participating in individual drills and easing his way into full-team work.  It sounds like he's on track to be ready to roll for Week 1.  If healthy, Quick is a good bet to emerge as St. Louis' #1 WR.  He's a nice value at his current 11th-round ADP.

Rams WR Brian Quick (shoulder) is on track to be ready for Week 1, according to insider Nick Wagoner.  Quick separated his shoulder and tore his rotator cuff last October and has spent the offseason rehabbing.  He was able to do some individual drills this spring, per Wagoner, and should be ready for full-squad work at some point during training camp.  Before going down last year, Quick was emerging as St. Louis #1 WR.  He tallied 25 catches for 375 yards and 3 scores in 7 games.  He could emerge as a weekly fantasy starter in 2015 if he puts that shoulder injury behind him.

Rams HC Jeff Fisher admitted that WR Brian Quick (shoulder) might not be ready for the start of training camp.  "There will be some question marks there," Fisher said. "He may be [ready]. I can't say. The next three or four months are going to be important.  It was a very, very difficult early rehab process. It was an extensive, extensive injury. He's starting to see the light now. He's doing good. He's worked hard.”  Quick suffered a torn rotator cuff and separated shoulder last October.  He was seemingly in the midst of a breakout season before going down, but missing this entire offseason could stunt his progress.  Quick looks like a WR4 or 5 -- albeit with upside -- in 2015 fantasy drafts.

Rams WR Kenny Britt has reached a new 2-year deal with the team. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Britt got $4.3 million guaranteed on a contract that could pay as much as $14 million. That seems like a lot for a guy who has never caught more than the 48 passes he hauled in last year. Britt also tallied 748 yards -- a 15.6-yard average -- and 3 TDs. It was good to see his big-play ability resurface in 2014, but it's tough to see his ceiling reaching nearly as high as it did when he looked like an ascending WR1 in Tennessee a few years ago. Britt looks like a late-round flier in a mediocre passing game for fantasy football owners. We'd still bet on Brian Quick as the higher-ceiling fantasy play there.

The Rams have confirmed that WR Brian Quick will miss the rest of the season because of the rotator cuff tear he suffered Sunday. The injury creates opportunity for WRs Kenny Britt and Stedman Bailey on the outside and leaves some targets on the field for everyone. St. Louis remains 1 of the ugliest fantasy situations in the NFL, however. We wouldn't recommend chasing any Ram too hard in your fantasy football league.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Rams WR Brian Quick is "likely" done for the season with a dislocated shoulder and torn rotator cuff suffered in yesterday's loss to the Chiefs.  Quick got off to a hot start this year, racking up 21 catches, 322 yards and 3 scores in his first 4 games.  All 3 marks gave him career highs.  Quick totaled just 4 catches for 53 scoreless yards over his last 3 games, though.  There's certainly talent here, but Quick will need steadier QB play to truly break out in 2015.  The 2014 Rams will move forward with Kenny Britt as their #1 WR.  Stedman Bailey looks like the favorite for #2 WR duties after replacing Quick yesterday.  It's tough to get real excited about either guy considering the Rams rank 23rd in pass attempts and 24th in pass yards.

Rams WR Brian Quick injured his shoulder in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Chiefs.  He had to be carted back to the locker room.  We'll pass along an update when we get one. 

Rams QB Sam Bradford is impressed by the progress he's seen from WR Brian Quick this offseason.  "It's night and day with Quickie," Bradford said. "He's always been tremendously talented. I think we're starting to see him really put everything together. I think he's had a great, great training camp. Even going back to OTAs and looking at some of the plays he's made, I think he's really developed. He's put the time in, he's worked really hard. From my standpoint, I'm glad to see that it's paying off for him."  Quick has also been talked up by OC Brian Schottenheimer in minicamp and insider Phil Savage earlier in training camp.  The former 2nd-round pick is officially on the late-round flier radar.

Rams WR Kenny Britt sits with the starters on the Rams' initial depth chart, which the team released Monday.  It's the culmination of a buzzy offseason and a nice start to training camp, solidifying Britt as an intriguing later-round gamble.  He's listed with Tavon Austin as the starting WRs, and ahead of Brian Quick.  Of course, Britt must hang on to that starting position and stay healthy -- which has been as big a problem as his off-field stuff.

Insider Phil Savage hears that the Rams are "encouraged" by WR Brian Quick's play in training camp.  "His production is beginning to match the raw size/speed," Savage adds.  Quick has reportedly been getting a lot of time with the 1st-team offense.  He's totaled just 29 catches through his first 2 seasons but is certainly capable of a 3rd-year breakout.  Quick entered the league as a raw prospect but goes 6'3, 218 pounds with plus athleticism.  We'll be keeping a close eye on him this preseason.

Rams WR Brian Quick drew praise from OC Brian Schottenheimer at minicamp.  "Probably the most improved player I've seen is Brian Quick," Schottenheimer said. "He's doing a great job. Another guy that we're giving an opportunity to, he's competing for playing time and he's made the most of his opportunities. He started today, again just moving guys around in and out of the lineup trying to create competition, and he's stepped up and made a lot of big plays for us."  At 6'4 and 220 pounds with big-time athleticism, Quick retains significant fantasy upside.  He's yet to produce in the big leagues yet, but we knew he was a project coming out of Appalachian State.  We still wouldn't bet on Quick emerging from St. Louis' crowded WR corps to become a fantasy asset in 2014, but he'll be worth monitoring this summer.

It was a disappointing summer for Rams WR Brian Quick, who was unable to beat out WR Austin Pettis for a starting job.  But insider Nick Wagoner believes Quick still has a chance to move into the starting lineup "at some point."  He reportedly "came on" late in training camp.  Quick is certainly a better talent than Pettis but still needs to work on the finer details of the game.  He's worth monitoring this season as a potential waiver wire pick up.
