S Robert Blanton missed Sunday's loss to the Lions with a pair of injuries to his left leg, but he said he expects to play in Week 16 and might return to practice Wednesday. DE Brian Robison, who sprained his right ankle against Detroit, also said he expects to play at Miami this weekend. We'll keep an eye on their statuses throughout the week. Neither is a top-shelf IDP option, but each would carry matchup upside. HC Mike Zimmer declined Monday to give outlooks on LB Anthony Barr and DT Sharrif Floyd for the Dolphins game. Each guy missed the Detroit contest with a knee injury.

The Vikings picked UCLA LB Anthony Barr 9th overall in the NFL draft.  Barr spent just 2 college seasons on defense after playing RB and TE his 1st 2 seasons.  He delivered 23.5 sacks and 41.5 total tackles for loss in those 2 years, though.  That shows immense upside in what might still be a raw player.  We'll see whether Minnesota plays him at DE right away or uses him at LB on early downs and a rusher in passing situations.  The Vikings just gave DE Everson Griffen a big contract to keep him from leaving in free agency.  Incumbent left DE Brian Robison is 31 but is also signed through 2017.  The crowd makes it tough to see immediate fantasy value for Barr.  He holds plenty of potential in your IDP dynasty league, though.

Vikings DE Brian Robison (neck) will play today against the Packers despite the neck trouble that popped up during the practice week.  He's a risky option in your IDP league, though.  You should be able to find a better lineman to use.

Vikings DE Brian Robison is questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Packers.  The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that neck trouble "popped up out of nowhere" during the practice week to sideline him Thursday and Friday.  Robison said he's optimistic about his chances of playing.  We don't recommend taking a chance on him, though.  Robison's a risky option in a normal week.

The Vikings might not know until late this week whether LDE Brian Robison will be able to play against the Texans. Robison sprained the A/C joint in his right shoulder on Sunday. HC Leslie Frazier reportedly said it'll just be a matter of how long the injury takes to heal. Robison isn't an attractive play against the Texans anyway. RT Derek Newton hasn't allowed a sack since Week 9. Everson Griffen would start in his place if Robison sits.
