The Cardinals on Saturday released WRs Brice Butler and Greg Little. That leaves Chad Williams as the listed starter across from Larry Fitzgerald on the team's "unofficial" depth chart, with room for J.J. Nelson and Christian Kirk to grab significant roles during the season. We'll see how the corps shakes out. Kirk and Williams are worth late-round looks in fantasy drafts, with Kirk's issue being that he plays the same position as Fitzgerald.

Cardinals HC Steve Wilks said Wednesday that WR Christian Kirk has "somewhat" played himself into the mix for the #2 WR job. That's not exactly a ringing endorsement. Kirk has caught 6 balls for 58 yards and a score through 2 preseason games, but he hasn't played many snaps with the 1st-team offense. The rookie has run most of his routes from the slot with the 2nd-team. Larry Fitzgerald is obviously locked in as Arizona's primary slot guy this year, so Kirk will need to start getting work on the outside if he's going to make a 2018 impact. He's not worth a pick in redraft leagues right now. Chad Williams and Brice Butler look like better bets to open the season as the Cardinals' #2 WR.

The Cardinals’ initial (“unofficial”) depth chart lists rookie WR Christian Kirk as a 3rd-teamer. Arizona lists Larry Fitzgerald and Brice Butler as starters, with J.J. Nelson and Chad Williams behind them. We’d bet on Kirk climbing from there, but it’s at least a reminder that he has work to do.

The Cardinals have signed WR Brice Butler to a 2-year deal. Although he's yet to carve out a consistent role across 5 NFL seasons, Butler has flashed plenty. He's averaging 16.1 yards per catch with 21 of his 73 career grabs (28.8%) going for 20+ yards. Butler goes 6'3, 213 pounds and clocked a 4.37-second 40 time at his Pro Day back in 2013. He joins a Cardinals team with only J.J. Nelson and Chad Williams behind Larry Fitzgerald on the WR depth chart. Butler has a real shot to finish 2nd among Arizona wideouts in targets this season.

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the Packers. He’s expected back after the Week 7 bye. Terrance Williams, Brice Butler and Cole Beasley will again serve as Dallas’ top 3 WRs today.

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) didn’t practice all week but is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals. It’s the same boat he was in last week when he ended up inactive. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport called Bryant “unlikely” to play. Dallas-Cincinnati doesn’t kick off until 4:25 pm ET, but Bryant should be on fantasy benches. His absence would leave Brice Butler, Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley as the Cowboys’ top 3 WRs.

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers. The team has seemingly been over-optimistic about Bryant's status. There's a good chance he misses multiple games with the hairline fracture in his knee. Terrance Williams and Brice Butler will serve as Dallas' outside WRs this weekend, with Cole Beasley in the slot. Beasley and TE Jason Witten are the best target bets.

The Cowboys have acquired WR Brice Butler from the Raiders in exchange for a late-round pick.  Butler is a metrics-community favorite for his 6'3, 215-pound frame and 4.4 speed.  But he's a 7th-round pick out of San Diego St. who couldn't carve out a significant role in Oakland.  Now he has a brand new offense to learn mid-season.  Butler is worth keeping an eye on but is a long shot to have any fantasy value this year.

Raiders 7th-round rookie WR Brice Butler opened training camp on the 3rd team.  Now he's running as the #3 WR with the 1st team.  Beat writer Scott Bair deemed Butler the "offensive player of camp," praising his "smooth route running and ability to make the big catch."  Butler also leads the Raiders with 5 catches and 108 yards this preseason.  The San Diego St. product is an athletic freak, checking in at 6'3, 205 pounds and recording a 4.36-second 40 time at his Pro Day.  He's certainly a name to file away, especially in dynasty leagues.  But it's tough to imagine a significant fantasy impact as the #3 WR on Oakland's messy passing game.
