Buster Skrine Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Bears OLB Khalil Mack (shoulder) is active for today's game against the Vikings. He's ready for normal use in IDP lineups. Chicago will miss 2 of its top 3 corners, though. Jaylon Johnson (shoulder) and Buster Skrine (concussion) are both inactive. That only enhances an already solid-to-good matchup for Vikings WRs Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson.

Jets CB Trumaine Johnson is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Vikings because of a quad injury thta continued to keep him out of practice all week. Johnson's absence doesn't really matter for IDP purposes, but it'll help Vikings WR Stefon Diggs' outlook. Jets slot CB Buster Skrine also remains out for the 2nd straight week with a concussion.

The Jets have ruled CB Buster Skrine (concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Colts. Fellow CB Trumaine Johnson is doubtful with a quad injury. That will likely leave the defense without 2 of its top 3 corners, which can only help Andrew Luck and crew. S Marcus Maye (ankle, foot) is also questionable for the 3rd straight game. He played through it the past 2 weeks and put in limited practices this week.

Jets slot CB Buster Skrine left Thursday night's loss to the Browns in the 1st half with a knee injury and did not return. The New York Post reports that he said afterward he'll be fine. The long week of rest should help his chances of playing in Week 4. Skrine's a marginal IDP prospect but led or tied for the team lead in tackles each of the 1st 2 weeks.

CB Darrelle Revis has reached a deal with the Jets. Revis obviously upgrades any defense he joins in a big way. The Jets could still stand to upgrade their edge-rushing group, but the team D carries more fantasy intrigue than it did last week. Revis' skill as a cover man has hurt his IDP value for years. It will also, however, likely help the scoring of new teammate CB Buster Skrine.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that CB Buster Skrine has reached a deal with the Jets. The former Brown graded out just 83rd among all CBs in coverage last season, according to Pro Football Focus. But he also allowed just 56.9% completions on throws his way, 24th best at the position. Skrine's a solid cover guy probably best used in the slot. His role with the Jets could determine his fantasy outlook. He finished just inside the top 40 at DB last season (depending on your scoring system).
