Chris Brown of the Bills' official website expects TE Charles Clay to be busy in new OC Rick Dennison's offense this season. As Brown points out, a TE finished top 2 on the team in catches and/or TDs in 5 of the last 10 seasons Dennison has served as an OC or QBs coach. Also working in Clay's favor is Buffalo's question mark at WR. Sammy Watkins has had trouble staying on the field, and the group behind him is unproven. Clay has finished 16th and 17th among TEs in PPR points in his first 2 seasons with the Bills. While his ceiling might not extend much higher, he's a big value at his current TE26 ADP.

Bills HC Sean McDermott admitted that he's "concerned" with TE Charles Clay's knee. "It's something we have to manage moving forward in order to have him on the field for us, which is important moving forward," McDermott said. "He's a weapon for us." Clay has dealt with knee trouble since arriving in Buffalo back in 2015. It didn't cost him any games last year, but he was a regular on the injury report. A coach admitting concern this early in the year is certainly worrisome. Clay ranked 16th among TEs in PPR points last season and shouldn't be drafted as more than a TE2 this summer.

The Bills have hired Sean McDermott as their HC. He's spent the past 8 seasons as a defensive coordinator -- 1st in Philadelphia, then in Carolina -- but has no HC experience. McDermott and the Bills should make an OC hire within the next couple of weeks.

The Bills have fired HC Rex Ryan and DC Rob Ryan. The news is only surprising in that it came before this weekend's season finale. Ryan finishes his 2-year Bills tenure with a 15-16 record. OC Anthony Lynn will take over as interim HC and reportedly has a shot to earn the full-time gig next season.

Clay's score came on a terrific adjustment to an underthrown pass after he broke open behind coverage in the end zone. The 2 straight games of 50+ receiving yards and 6+ targets in 3 of his past 4 games make Clay a solid bet for fantasy football lineups in Week 16 against a Dolphins defense that has allowed 5 TE scores among the past 6 games.

The forecast for today's Browns-Bills game calls for a slight chance of snow but winds of 20-30 mph. That's certainly enough to impact the passing games. Hopefully you're not relying on any part of Cleveland's passing attack. Downgrade Bills QB Tyrod Taylor and WR Sammy Watkins a tad, but both are still fine fantasy starters. Expect a heavy dose of RB LeSean McCoy today.

Considering he's 10 days removed from his last game, we can't consider Watkins a lock to be ready for Week 4. Buffalo's bye isn't until Week 10. WR Marquise Goodwin is expected to start in Watkins' place but isn't a fantasy option. WR Robert Woods and TE Charles Clay are the best bets for targets.

Clay missed the final 3 games of last season with a pulled back muscle, although it's unclear if that's related to his current problem. We'll keep an eye on Clay's health. On top of the back, he has a lengthy history of leg injuries.

According to Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News, Bills OC Greg Roman expects that TE Charles Clay "will be even more productive this season as Tyrod Taylor continues to develop as a quarterback and Roman's tight-end-centric system continues to evolve." Clay ranked just 20th among PPR TEs in points per game last season, when he posted 4 one-catch games. Roman reportedly saw many occasions where Taylor failed to hit Clay despite favorable coverages. The Draft Sharks MFL10 ADP Explorer has Clay going just 23rd among TEs in current drafting. He obviously carries significant upside beyond that lowly spot.

Bills HC Rex Ryan said Monday that he doesn't expect TE Charles Clay (back) to play in the finale against the Jets.  So Clay will finish his debut season in Buffalo with a 51-528-3 line in 13 games.  He's currently 18th among TEs in fantasy points per game. Chris Gragg figures to serve as the Bills' lead TE again in Week 17 but won't be a fantasy option.
