S Clayton Geathers has re-signed with the Colts on a 1-year deal, after visiting the Bucs and Cowboys as a free agent. Geathers missed 4 games last season while dealing with a neck injury and concussion but tells the team website he's now "back healthy, looking good, feeling good." A healthy Geathers has been a starting-level IDP and should continue to be so in the same defense.

Colts S Clayton Geathers and DE Jabaal Sheard are active for today’s game against the Texans. Both entered the day questionable

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) and DE Jabaal Sheard (knee) are questionable for Saturday's game against the Texans. Geathers, though, got back to his usual practice schedule of missed workouts sandwiching a full Wednesday practice. He missed the final 2 regular-season games. Sheard missed Thursday's practice but took part the previous 2 days. That matched last week, when he played through a questionable tag. We'll check their statuses Saturday afternoon.

Colts S Clayton Geathers is inactive for tonight's game against the Titans. It'll be the 2nd straight game he has missed with his injured knee. DE Jabaal Sheard is active, however. He arrived questionable with knee and "teeth" issues but is good for regular IDP usage.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) and DE Jabaal Sheard (knee) are questionable for Sunday night's game against the Titans. Geathers missed practice all week after missing last week's game. The late kickoff means you can't wait for him in IDP lineups, if you were inclined to in the 1st place. Sheard sat out practice Friday and was listed with a "teeth" issue (whatever that means). He put in limited workouts the previous 2 days. Sheard matched his season high in playing time last week and seems like at least a solid bet to play. Of course, the late kickoff means you'll need to have an insurance option available if you plan to wait for him.

The Colts have ruled S Clayton Geathers out for Sunday's game against the Giants because of a knee injury that kept him out of practice all week. S Mike Mitchell remains behind Geathers on the depth chart -- after filling in at both safety spots earlier this week -- and would likely start in Geathers' place. Mitchell is questionable, though, with a calf issue that limited his practices Wednesday and Thursday. Mitchell returned to a full Friday workout and is an option if active, but he'll carry some downside risk.

Colts S Clayton Geathers is active for today's game against the Cowboys. He arrived questionable but looks fine for normal IDP usage. Geathers has been managing physical issues all season.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Geathers has for weeks been following odd practice schedules, often sitting out Wednesday and Friday workouts. Geathers put in just a limited practice Thursday this week, though. That marks the 1st time since Week 6 (which he missed) that Geathers finished the week without any full practices. He even put in 1 full practice in Week 7 before missing that game as well. We'll check Geathers' status Sunday morning.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (neck) and DE Jabaal Sheard (abdomen) are active for today's game against the Raiders. Each guy entered the day questionable but is OK to use in IDP lineups.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (neck) and DE Jabaal Sheard (abdomen) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Geathers put in a full practice Wednesday before sitting out the next 2 days. He has followed odd practice schedules for weeks, whether active or inactive come Sunday. We'll have to check on his status Sunday afternoon (barring earlier word). If Geathers can't go, S Mike Mitchell will make for a solid IDP starting option in his place. Sheard's injury lacks clarity. He popped up on Thursday's report as "did not practice" but then returned to full participation Friday. We'll see about his status Sunday afternoon as well but would anticipate Sheard being in the lineup.

The Colts have ruled S Clayton Geathers (concussion) out for Week 7. He participated in practice 2 of 3 days this week, so we'd bet on Geathers being ready for a Week 8 trip to Oakland. We'll check his status leading up to that one.

The Colts have ruled DT Margus Hunt (knee) and S Clayton Geathers (neck, concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Jets. Each put in 1 limited practice this week, so we'll see if either is ready to return for Week 7.

Colts S Clayton Geathers left in the 1st half of Thursday night's game against the Patriots and did not return. The team eventually ruled him out with a concussion and a neck injury. That, however, followed Indy initially saying he cleared the concussion protocol and deeming his return "questionable." We'll see about Geathers' status heading into Week 6. Matthias Farley stepped in and grabbed a 3rd-quarter INT.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) is active for tonight's game against the Patriots. He entered the night questionable, just like he had the past 2 weeks. Elsewhere on the Colts D, CB Nate Hairston (ankle) is active but not playing. Fellow CB Kenny Moore had already been ruled out. Neither corner is much of an IDP option when healthy, but all the injuries can only help New England's passing outlook.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) is active for today's game against the Texans. He played through a "questionable" tag and similarly light practice schedule in Week 3 and proved to be a fine IDP option. Go ahead and start Geathers if he makes sense for your Week 4 lineup.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. Just like last week, Geathers missed practice Wednesday, put in a full workout Thursday and then sat out Friday. Geathers played through a "questionable" tag in Week 3 after following the same practice schedule, so we'll assume he's on track to play this week as well. We'll confirm his status Sunday morning, of course.

Colts S Clayton Geathers is active for today's game against the Eagles. He entered the day questionable with knee and elbow injuries but is OK for normal usage in IDP lineups.
