Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore is out for the season following knee surgery. Gillmore underwent a procedure to repair his MCL. Baltimore is down to Ben Watson, Maxx Williams, Nick Boyle and Larry Donnell at TE. It’s a situation to avoid in fantasy leagues.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore is set to undergo surgery on his meniscus on Monday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. As we saw with RB Kenneth Dixon, Gillmore's timetable for return will depend on whether the meniscus is trimmed or fully repaired. He could be out anywhere from 4 weeks to the entire season. We'll update his status when we know more, but Gillmore is off the redraft radar right now.

The Ravens have signed TE Larry Donnell. Averaging 8.8 yards per catch for his career, Donnell is no better than a replacement-level talent. There's opportunity in Baltimore's Dennis Pitta-less TE corps, though. Donnell will compete with Maxx Williams, Ben Watson and Nick Boyle for playing time. (Crockett Gillmore hurt his knee on Friday.) We'll keep an eye on this battle, but the winner will be no more than a low-end TE2 in fantasy.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams (knee) has avoided the PUP list and is ready for the start of training camp. He underwent a reportedly rare knee surgery this offseason, but it looks like that'll be a non-issue going forward. Baltimore's starting TE spot is wide open following the loss of Dennis Pitta. Williams, Ben Watson, Crockett Gillmore and Nick Boyle are all in the mix.

Ravens TE Dennis Pitta will start today's opener against the Bills, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This could be more of a "ceremonial start" for a guy coming off 2 major hip injuries and seeing his 1st action since 2014. TEs Maxx Williams and Crockett Gillmore still figure to be involved. Stay away from this situation in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Ravens TE Dennis Pitta sprained his finger during Monday's training camp practice and will be out "a little while," HC John Harbaugh said. That won't help Pitta's chances of carving out a role (or making the team?) in a crowded TE group that also includes Ben Watson, Maxx Williams and Crockett Gillmore. Pitta remains off the fantasy radar.

Ravens insider Jeff Zrebiec believes TE Dennis Pitta could be a "significant contributor" this season after an impressive spring. He "was one of the more active and productive offensive players for the past couple of weeks," Zrebiec writes. "Pitta is moving well and caught just about everything thrown in his direction." Pitta missed the last 2 seasons with major hip injuries and turns 31 at the end of June. We're in "believe-it-when-we-see-it" mode, especially with Baltimore's crowded TE corps.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore has resumed running routes and taking part in individual drills at OTAs.  He's ahead of schedule in his rehab from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder.  “If it was up to me, I’d already be doing everything,” Gillmore said. “I should be back for training camp for sure. We’re going to try to push it and see if I can go for minicamp.”  Gillmore is part of a deep Baltimore TE corps that also includes Ben Watson and Maxx Williams.  They'll likely cannibalize each other's production, leaving all 3 as unreliable fantasy options.

TE Dennis Pitta took part in OTAs this week, and HC John Harbaugh called his performance "very encouraging," according to The Baltimore Sun. “He looks like Dennis Pitta to me,” Harbaugh said. “As far as the stability of the hip, how he feels about it, running around, making catches, looking like a football player, it’s all good.” If Pitta continues down this path, he'll mix in with a crowd at TE that added Ben Watson in free agency and returns Crockett Gillmore and Maxx Williams from last year. Baltimore might not keep 4 TEs on the roster, so this will be another interesting position battle to watch in an offense loaded with summer interest. We wouldn't bet on any Ravens TE emerging for strong fantasy value in 2016, though.

The Ravens have placed TE Crockett Gillmore (back) on IR, ending a decent but injury-riddled campaign for him. He'll likely compete with an expanded role for 2015 rookie Maxx Williams in next year's offense, which could see plenty of offseason change. WR Breshad Perriman should return from the knee trouble that cost him his rookie year, and WR Steve Smith said he plans to retire. We'll be interested to see how things look in Baltimore heading into 2016.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh ruled TE Crockett Gillmore (back) out for Week 15 on Wednesday.  Harbaugh added that Gillmore "probably is done for the year."  That'll leave TE duties to Maxx Williams and Nick Boyle.  Neither is a reliable fantasy option.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) is inactive for today’s game against the Seahawks. Maxx Williams will serve as Baltimore’s lead TE but is just an emergency fantasy option.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. Maxx Williams has been cleared from his concussion and will serve as Baltimore’s lead TE. Seattle have been giving to TEs this year, but it’s tough to like any part of the Ravens’ passing game.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams (concussion) is out for this weekend’s game against the Dolphins. The rookie has 7 catches on 8 targets in his last 2 games. Some of that work will go to TE Crockett Gillmore, but he’s still not a recommended fantasy starter with Matt Schaub under center.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams (knee, ankle) is active for today’s game against the Chargers. He’s not a fantasy option but could steal a few looks from TE Crockett Gillmore.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams (knee, ankle) is questionable for this weekend’s game against the Chargers. The rookie isn’t a fantasy option, but his return would put a dent in TE Crockett Gillmore’s Week 8 outlook.

Ravens TE Maxx Williams (knee, ankle) has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Cardinals.  That'll mean a few extra targets for TE Crockett Gillmore, although he's still a shaky TE1 in a tough matchup.

Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) is active for today’s game against the 49ers. He put in 3 limited practices this week, but it’s unclear how big a factor that calf will be. That makes Gillmore a risky Week 6 fantasy play.
