The Denver Post reports that Broncos LB Danny Trevathan will miss the next 3-6 weeks after suffering a cracked bone just above his left knee.  That's the same leg Trevathan fractured back in training camp, though that break occurred just below his kneecap.  The injury thrusts LB Brandon Marshall back into fantasy prominence after he opened the season providing IDP starter value in Trevathan's place.

Broncos LB Danny Trevathan left Sunday's win over the Jets after just 2 snaps with a left knee injury.  X-rays proved negative, but he'll have an MRI on Monday to determine whether there's ligament damage.  "I think it will be good, but we won't know until (Monday) when I get the MRI," Trevathan told The Denver Post on Sunday.  We'll see what the test says.  It's worth noting that Trevathan reportedly wasn't limping in the locker room after the game despite leaving the sideline on a cart.  He had started the game at weak-side LB, which Brandon Marshall took over following Trevathan's injury.  Marshall would remain a solid IDP option if Trevathan has to miss any more time.

Broncos LB Danny Trevathan hit the practice field Thursday for the 1st time since breaking his left leg Aug. 12.  According to the AP, Trevathan's still expected to miss 1 more game but then return after his team's Week 4 bye.  Brandon Marshall has played well in Trevathan's absence, but we expect the team's leading tackler from 2013 to reclaim his weak-side starting spot in Week 5 -- as long as he's physically ready.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports that Broncos LB Danny Trevathan said he has a fracture in his knee and that doctors expect him to miss 4 to 8 weeks.  "I told him 4 to 6," Trevathan told Anderson.  Either way, you should expect him to miss at least a couple of games and adjust your outlook for him accordingly.  We already dropped Trevathan way down our 2014 IDP rankings, but he still makes plenty of sense as a 4th or 5th fantasy LB.  Trevathan's capable of top 10 production when healthy and should have more than half a season to score points for you after his return.  Brandon Marshall sits behind Trevathan on the depth chart, and rookie Lamin Barrow could factor into the replacement plan as well.  MLB Nate Irving grows his tackle upside while Trevathan is out, as does SS T.J. Ward -- arguably the best IDP bet on the entire defense now.

Broncos LB Danny Trevathan left the practice field on a cart Tuesday after injuring his left leg.  It wasn't immediately clear whether the injury was to his knee or ankle, but Trevathan reportedly couldn't put any weight on it.  We'll await further diagnosis before moving him in our 2014 IDP rankings, but the reports seem ominous.  Trevathan emerged as a consistently strong fantasy option in his 1st year as a full-time starter and would be a borderline LB1 in IDP drafts if healthy this year.

The Broncos will likely go without MLB Wesley Woodyard (neck) and right DE Robert Ayers (shoulder) against Jacksonville on Sunday.  Obviously, that means they'll probably lose the game now.  In reality, it boosts the IDP profile of Denver weak-side LB Danny Trevathan, who should spend more time on the field in sub packages.  Veteran journeyman Paris Lenon is expected to start in the middle but won't play 3 downs as Woodyard does.  Derek Wolfe and Shaun Phillips will man the starting DE spots and likely see a few more snaps in Ayers' absence.

The Denver Post reports that Broncos LB Danny Trevathan avoided significant injury to the knee he hurt in practice on Wednesday.  He's expected to play Sunday at Dallas, though coaches don't yet know if they might have to limit his snaps.  That uncertainty makes Trevathan a rather unattractive IDP option.

Broncos LB Danny Trevathan left Wednesday practice on a cart after suffering a knee injury.  The Denver Post reports that the team is still evaluating the extent of the injury.  Steve Johnson would likely replace Trevathan in the lineup.  The absence of the weak-side starter could mean more tackle chances for MLB Wesley Woodyard, who already looked like an attractive IDP option this week and the rest of the way.
