Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey reportedly strained his hamstring on Tuesday.  He didn't practice on Wednesday and seems unlikely to play against the Steelers Sunday.  Look for WRs Louis Murphy and Jacoby Ford to start.

Raiders WR Louis Murphy was unable to practice all week and won't play against the Chiefs this Sunday.  WRs Darrius Heyward-Bey and Jacoby Ford will start again for Oakland.

As expected, Raiders WR Louis Murphy (chest) is inactive for today's game against the Seahawks. Darrius Heyward-Bey and Jacoby Ford will start out wide for Oakland.

Further test results on Raiders WR Louis Murphy's injured chest revealed a bruised lung.  He's not expected to play against the Seahawks this weekend.  Darrius Heyward-Bey and Johnnie Lee Higgins will likely start at WR for Oakland.

Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey suffered a strained groin in Friday's practice. He's been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. At less than 100%, DHB shouldn't be in your lineup this weekend.

According to the Oakland Tribune, 2nd-year WR Darrius Heyward-Bey has “disappeared for stretches" in Raiders training camp. There’s a surprise. DHB has never been one for consistency, and this year is no different. He’s far off our fantasy radar, even as a late round flier. Chaz Schilens remains the only Oakland WR worth drafting.

Raiders 2nd-year WR Darrius Heyward-Bey has impressed his coaches and teammates with his play at OTAs.  "Heyward-Bey has been phenomenal out here," OC Hue Jackson said. "He's matured a lot, and I'm really looking forward to what kind of season he's going to have."  TE Zach Miller echoed those sentiments, calling DHB "phenomenal."  There's no doubting Heyward-Bey's athleticism, but he struggles with drops.  Better QB play from Jason Campbell should help this year, but we're not expecting DHB to emerge as anything more than a WR4 in fantasy.

According to Raiders HC Tom Cable, 2nd-year WR Darrius Heyward-Bey has made significant improvements this offseason.  "You guys will be excited when you see us in OTA, the improvement Darrius has already made," Cable said. "That guy has jumped out at us since winter program, or offseason program, just the quality of work he’s done. He really, really has taken this thing leaps and bounds, further probably than what we thought we could go with it this quickly. It will be nice to get him on the field and get him into coverages and get him into route concepts and doing those kinds of things." This sounds like the usual coachspeak, but this one actually isn't too hard to believe.  As bad as DHB was last season, he obviously has all kinds of talent and may have developed over the offseason.  But it'll be tough for him to showcase his improvement with QB JaMarcus Russell throwing him the ball.

Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (foot) is listed as "doubtful" to face the Redskins on Sunday.  The injury forced him to miss last week's game against the Steelers and kept him out of practice all week.  WR Johnnie Lee Higgins will start in his place but isn't a fantasy option.

Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (undisclosed) is out for today's game with the Steelers.  The rookie has disappointed this season as expected, and is far from a fantasy option.

We’ve been ribbing on Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey all offseason, but it looks like the rookie is finally starting to look like he belongs. HC Tom Cable has been impressed, saying, “[He] caught everything, the underneath, the over the top, the big ball on the sideline, the one-handed catch. We want to keep that coming.” DHB is still running with the 2nd team, but if he continues to improve we could see him starting opposite Chaz Schilens.

Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey was listed as the 1st-string split end on the team's preliminary depth chart.  This is surprising considering DHB has been running with the 2nd and 3rd teams in camp -- and because it seems like he's dropped 50% of the balls that have come his way.  This is definitely Al Davis' doing.  He wants his prized possession in the team's Week 1 starting lineup.  Chaz Schilens was listed as Oakland's other starting WR.

The Raiders and rookie WR Darrius Heyward-Bey have agreed to a 5-year contract.  Financial terms of the deal have not yet been released.  This should start a domino effect that will get the other top-10 picks signed and in camp.  Update: the contract is worth $38.25 with another $15.75 available through incentives.  DHB received $23.5 million in guaranteed money.

Raiders 1st round pick WR Darrius Heyward-Bey has been having trouble with his hands thus far in camp. We heard reports that the speedy WR dropped his first target on his first day of camp. Now we are hearing that DHB dropped 3 passes in a 7-on-7 drill Sunday. Hey, at least he can run fast!

According to the Contra Costa Times, Darrius Heyward-Bey has been dealing with a hamstring issue for about a month. He will be held out of practices until he is 100%. It is not good news when a speedster WR is dealing with hamstring issues. With this being Heyward-Bey's rookie year and all the learning he has to do, it makes him less likely to be a big factor this season.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Darrius Heyward-Bey expects to return to practice next week. He is recovering from a hamstring injury. If he expects to make any type of impact as a rookie, he needs to get healthy and stay healthy.

The SF Chronicle is reporting that Darrius Heyward-Bey was having difficulties catching the ball when covered during practice. Rookie WRs rarely make a big splash and Heyward is not having the type of start that makes us think he will be an exception. He still has plenty of time to turn things around.

Raiders rookie WR Darrius Heyward-Bey reinjured his right hamstring during practice today.  This comes just a week after he returned to practice after resting the sore hammy for a couple weeks.  DHB has been plagued by this injury and all-around fatigue for a good portion of this spring.  Not a good sign for a rookie who is expected to play a significant role in the offense this year. This hamstring issue could bleed into training camp.
