He's fine to dump in most IDP redraft leagues until this current injury "settles." The injuries to both him and DE Nick Bosa leaves room for new 49er Ezekiel Ansah and DE Kerry Hyder to see plenty of snaps.

Bosa missed most of August last season with a hamstring injury, which sounds like the area holding him back now as well. That -- plus a September ankle sprain -- didn't stop him from registering an impressive rookie. DE Dee Ford is also out with a calf "irritation," but the team lists him as merely "day-to-day."

Houston has reached 9 sacks each of the past 2 years but has also lost 4+ games to injury in 3 of the past 4 seasons. At 30, Houston's likely on the downside of his career. We'll see where this offseason takes him. He's worth holding in dynasty leagues that weigh sacks/pressures decently. You're not likely to find much trade value in him, and Houston has continued to flash high weekly upside when healthy.

Look for a rotation in the regular season -- one that will be missing 1 of the league's top pass rushers.
