Demetrius Harris Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Browns TE David Njoku is inactive for today's game against the Cardinals. It's a "coach’s decision," according to insider Mary Kay Cabot. Njoku misses a prime matchup vs. the league's worst TE defense. If you're desperate for a replacement, Demetrius Harris is the best bet among Cleveland TEs.

Browns TE Ricky Seals-Jones (knee) is active for tonight's game against the Steelers. He missed last week but figures to step back in as Cleveland's primary pass-catching TE ahead of Demetrius Harris. Seals-Jones is still only in play for single-game DFS contests.

Browns TE Ricky Seals-Jones (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bills. That leaves Demetrius Harris as Cleveland’s lead TE — but he’d be a desperation fantasy play.

Browns TE Ricky Seals-Jones was knocked out in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game in Denver with a knee injury. He finished with 2 catches for 12 yards and was replaced by TE Demetrius Harris. We should get an update on Seals-Jones' injury tomorrow.

Browns TE David Njoku has been placed on IR with his broken wrist. That knocks him out for at least the next 8 weeks. Njoku can be dropped in fantasy leagues without an IR spot. Demetrius Harris should get the 1st shot to step in as Cleveland's lead pass-catching TE and is at least worth an add in FFPC leagues. TE Ricky Seals-Jones is also on the Browns' roster.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Browns TE David Njoku is dealing with more than just a concussion. He also suffered a wrist injury that might require surgery. Njoku is reportedly collecting medical opinions now before deciding his next step. At the least, we should expect him to miss Week 3. And you should start looking into longer-term options if Njoku is your guy.

Update: Insider Mary Kay Cabot reports that Njoku has a broken wrist. We're still waiting for a rehab timeline, but he'll miss multiple games. That leaves Demetrius Harris, who goes 6'7 and 235 pounds with 4.5 speed, as Cleveland's top TE. He's an intriguing add in deep and TE-premium fantasy leagues.

The Browns have reached a 2-year deal with former Chiefs TE Demetrius Harris, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That's a disappointing move for anyone hoping to get some kind of Harris breakthrough via free agency. Harris is a size-speed freak, with a 4.57-second 40 time at 6'7 and 230 pounds. But he managed just 57 total receptions over 5 seasons behind Travis Kelce. In Cleveland, he figures to remain behind David Njoku. And we're not too worried at this point about Harris lowering Njoku's fantasy ceiling. We'll see if HC Freddie Kitchens and his staff reveal anything about Harris' role.
