Bears WR Eddie Royal suffered a toe injury in the 2nd half of Sunday's game against the Jaguars and did not return. He finished with 4 catches for 54 yards. We'll update Royal's status when we learn more.

11:32am EDT 10/9/16

Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) is active for today’s game against the Colts. He didn’t practice all week and might be limited today. He’s a risky fantasy play. His presence at least helps QB Brian Hoyer.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) is a game-time decision for Week 5, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He didn't practice all week, so he'll be a risky fantasy start even if he's active. Bears-Colts kicks off at 1 pm ET, so we'll know Royal's status by noon.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Colts. He didn’t practice all week. He’ll be a risky fantasy option even if he ends up playing. If not, Cameron Meredith could step in as Chicago’s #2 WR.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (calf) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. We didn't see or hear about an injury after last week's game, but it's worth noting that Royal played a season-low 52.5% of the offensive snaps. He's certainly not a lock to play against the Colts this weekend. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Bears WR Kevin White is expected to miss an "extended period of time" with the ankle injury he suffered in Sunday's game against the Lions, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. We're still waiting for details on White's injury, but it sounds like at least a high-ankle sprain -- and potentially something worse. We'd try to hang on to White for now, but he's certainly droppable if you're hurting for roster space. His absence will move WR Eddie Royal up to #2 on the depth chart. He's been effective this season, with an 81.8% catch rate and 13.4 yards per catch.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (concussion) returned to practice on Saturday. He missed over 2 weeks with the head injury but remains the favorite to open the season as Chicago's #3 WR. That's not enough to make him a fantasy option.

Bears WR Daniel Braverman is off to a good start in training camp. "He just keeps making plays," HC John Fox said. "You know we're performance-based. I know it's just practice, but we try and simulate games as much as we can in the practice and he continues to flash and make plays." Braverman racked up a whopping 194 catches over his final 2 seasons at Western Michigan. At just 5'10 and 177 pounds, he'll be limited to slot duties as a pro. But the 7th-round rookie could push WR Eddie Royal for playing time. Royal remains sidelined with a concussion.

The Bears announced that TE Zach Miller and WR Eddie Royal are in the concussion protocol. Miller has a long injury history that includes concussions in 2009 and 2011. Royal has also suffered at least 2 concussions, in 2011 and 2013. We'll see when they're able to get back on the practice field. Miller is slated to be Chicago's starting TE, while Royal is in line to be the #3 WR.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (illness) didn't practice all week and is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Lions.  With WR Alshon Jeffery out, Chicago will be down to WRs Marc Mariani, Josh Bellamy, Cameron Meredith and Deonte Thompson.  We wouldn't trust any of them in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Bucs. That leaves WR Eddie Royal and TE Zach Miller as Chicago’s best bet for targets. Both guys are low-end fantasy starters.

The Bears have deemed WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) doubtful for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay. That takes a top receiving option out of fantasy lineups, but at least this time we know about it ahead of the game rather than losing him after we set the lineup. Jeffery's absence also knocks QB Jay Cutler down a bit. WR Eddie Royal adds some PPR upside after playing 95% of the snaps last week and tying for 2nd on the team with 6 targets. Both RBs and TE Zach Miller could draw more targets as well.

10:38am EST 12/13/15

Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) is active for today’s game against the Redskins. With WR Marquess Wilson and TE Martellus Bennett out, Royal could be 2nd in line for targets. But he’s just a low-upside WR3 on Chicago’s run-heavy offense.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Redskins after a limited week of practice.  We'll find out his status by noon ET, but Royal will be just a low-upside WR3 if active.  WR Marquess Wilson (foot) has been ruled out.

10:35am EST 12/6/15

Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the 49ers. With WR Marquess Wilson (foot) also out, Chicago is left with WRs Marc Mariani, Josh Bellamy and Cameron Meredith behind Alshon Jeffery.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Broncos. WR Marquess Wilson gets another start but can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups in a brutal matchup.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Rams.  WR Marquess Wilson gets another start.  He saw just 3 targets last week.  He could be busier this week with WR Alshon Jeffery at less than 100%, but Wilson isn't a recommended fantasy play vs. a tough St. Louis defense.

Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) has been ruled out of Monday night’s game against the Chargers. Marquess Wilson will see a boost in snaps and targets, but he’s still a risky WR3.

Bears WR Eddie Royal injured his knee in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Vikings.  He's considered questionable to return.  We'll pass along an update when we get one.

Update: Royal was ruled out for the rest of the game at halftime.

10:39am EDT 10/18/15

Bears WR Eddie Royal (knee) is active for today’s game against the Lions. With WR Alshon Jeffery and TE Martellus Bennett also in the lineup, Royal is just a low-end WR3.
