WR Emeka Egbuka drew a massive 16 targets in Week 6, catching 7 for 48 yards and a TD. That added up to 17.8 PPR points and a WR12 finish. His 40% target share led Tampa Bay by a wide margin. The efficiency wasn’t there, though, at 3.0 yards per target. Jalon Daniels started for Baker Mayfield (thumb) for a third straight week and went 22 for 43 for 164 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs.

In Week 5, Egbuka caught 6 of 9 targets for 38 yards and added a 14-yard rushing TD, finishing as the WR17. His targets jumped from 9 to 16, but Daniels was far less efficient after going 19 for 25 for 189 yards in Week 5. Mayfield’s Week 7 status is the key thing to watch.
Egbuka drew a target on 33% of his routes, an elite rate. Chris Godwin out-snapped him 68 to 64 and matched his 48 routes, yet Egbuka doubled his targets. The issue was the catch rate: Egbuka hauled in just 44% of his targets at 6.9 yards per catch. Cade Otton ran 44 routes but drew just 1 target, so the WRs are carrying this passing game.
Carolina allows the 21st-most adjusted PPR points to WRs (30.3) and ranked 18th in our pass defense power rankings heading into Week 6 (7.7 pass DVOA). Atlanta allows the eighth-most PPR points to WRs, but it ranked fourth in pass defense power. Chicago ranked 23rd heading into Week 9. Egbuka’s target share keeps him a WR1 regardless of who plays QB.
