The Falcons cut WRs Auden Tate and Geronimo Allison -- among others -- Tuesday. Each guy has had moments where he stirred minor fantasy interest with previous teams, but neither generated buzz this summer.

The Falcons on Monday signed WR Geronimo Allison following a tryout at the weekend's rookie minicamp. Allison spent 4 seasons with the Packers before appearing in just 3 games with the Lions last season. He's not likely to make much impact, but it's noteworthy that Atlanta has added a pair of WRs (including Bryan Edwards) over the past week. We'll see whether they're done rebuilding this corps for 2022.

The Lions selected Wisconsin WR Quintez Cephus in the 5th round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Cephus trudged to a 4.73-second 40 time at the Combine, although he did post above-average marks in the vertical and broad jumps at 6’1 and 202 pounds. He’s obviously not going to win with athleticism as a pro, but Cephus does a lot of little things well. He can beat press coverage, is an advanced route runner and is strong in contested situations. Cephus missed the entire 2018 season after being accused of sexual assault. He was later acquitted of those charges and returned to Wisconsin to post a 59-901-7 line this past year. Cephus tallied nice market shares, and his 3.1 yards per route run ranked 5th among 30 of this year’s top WR prospects. He figures to battle with Geronimo Allison for the #4 WR job in Detroit this season behind Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola. But all 4 of those guys are currently scheduled to hit free agency next offseason.

The Lions have reached a 1-year deal with former Packers WR Geronimo Allison. ESPN reports that it's for just the league minimum, a fraction of the $2.8 million Allison commanded in the 1-year pact he signed with Green Bay last offseason. Despite playing all 16 games last season, Allison ranked just 6th among Packers in receptions. Barring injuries to others, Allison's high point in Detroit looks like the #4 role behind Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola.

Packers WR Davante Adams (toe) is listed as doubtful for Sunday night's game against the Chiefs. It's at least an upgrade over the past 3 weeks, when Adams was ruled out on Friday. He seemingly has a shot to return for Week 9. With Adams out last week, the snaps rates for Packers WRs went: Allen Lazard 84%, Jake Kumerow 71%, Geronimo Allison 55%, Marquez Valdes-Scantling 34%. Allison and MVS are healthier now, but it's uncertain if they'll play more on Sunday night. We'd try to avoid this situation in what figures to be a run-leaning game plan for Green Bay.

Packers WRs Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (knee, ankle) are active for today’s game against the Raiders. It’s a plus matchup, but both guys figure to be operating at less than 100%. Their availability is obviously good news for QB Aaron Rodgers, though.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport labels Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) a "game-time call" for today's tilt with the Raiders. That's a 1 pm ET kickoff, so we'll get Allison's status by noon. He'll be a risky WR3 if active.

Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) has been upgraded to questionable for Week 7. So it looks like he has a shot to play against the Raiders on Sunday. We'll get his official status by noon ET.

Packers WR Davante Adams (toe) is out for Sunday’s game against the Raiders. He didn’t practice all week and still has no timetable for return. WR Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) didn’t practice all week and is listed as doubtful. He won’t play Sunday. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (knee, ankle) is listed as questionable after only getting in a limited practice on Friday. He has a shot to play this weekend but wouldn’t be at 100%. Jake Kumerow and Allen Lazard are Green Bay’s top 2 healthy WRs. You’re probably best off avoiding this entire situation in Week 7 fantasy lineups.

Green Bay's top 3 WRs -- Davante Adams (toe), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (knee, ankle) and Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) -- remained sidelined on Thursday. We still believe MVS has a good shot to play this weekend against the Raiders, but Adams and Allison seem doubtful. We just moved Aaron Rodgers down the Week 7 QB rankings.

Packers WRs Davante Adams (toe), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (ankle, knee) and Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) did not practice on Wednesday. MVS was able to return from his injuries this past Monday night, so we're expecting him to play this weekend against the Raiders. Adams and Allison seem truly questionable. Next up on the depth chart are Jake Kumerow, Allen Lazard and Darrius Shepherd.

Packers WR Geronimo Allison left in the 3rd quarter of Monday night's game against the Lions after colliding helmet-to-helmet with Detroit S Tracy Walker. It'll be surprising if Allison doesn't enter the league concussion protocol off that play, but we'll see about the diagnosis.

Packers WR Davante Adams (toe) has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Lions. He didn't practice all week and admitted on Thursday that his turf toe is a "major injury." Adams shouldn't be considered a lock to return for Week 7. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Geronimo Allison and Jake Kumerow will again serve as Green Bay’s top 3 WRs on Monday night.

Packers WR Davante Adams "didn't sound optimistic" about his chances of playing Monday night against the Lions when he spoke to reporters on Thursday, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "It doesn't feel how I want it to feel at the moment," Adams said. Per Demovsky, the team is leery of rushing Adams back and having him aggravate the turf toe. He should be on fantasy benches right now.

Packers WR Davante Adams (toe) is out for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. His injury is reportedly minor, but he didn’t practice all week and shouldn’t be considered a lock to return for Week 6. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison will operate as Green Bay’s top 2 WRs vs. Dallas.

Packers WR Davante Adams (toe) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's looking like a long shot to play in Dallas this weekend, leaving Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison as Green Bay's top 2 WRs.

Packers WR Davante Adams (toe) didn't practice on Wednesday. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported last Friday that Adams might not miss much time with his turf toe, but fantasy owners should at least be making plans to be without him in Week 5. Adams' absence would leave Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison as Green Bay's top 2 WRs against the Cowboys on Sunday.

Packers WR Davante Adams told reporters after Thursday night's game that he has turf toe and will see Dr. Robert Anderson to get it examined. The severity of the injury will determine how long Adams is sidelined. But as we saw last night, turf toe is almost impossible to play through. Adams' absence would leave Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison as Green Bay's top 2 WRs. Darrius Shepard and Allen Lazard filled in for Adams on Thursday night. Jake Kumerow is a better bet than either of those guys but is dealing with a shoulder injury. TE Jimmy Graham would also project to see more volume with Adams out. He racked up 9 targets last night.

The Packers have reached a new 1-year deal with exclusive-rights free agent WR Geronimo Allison. The contract will reportedly pay him more than the ERFA tender, but it's interesting to see the team not commit to the 25-year-old beyond that. Green Bay, of course, added WRs Marquez Valdes-Scantling, J'Mon Moore and Equanimeous St. Brown in last year's draft. We'll see where Allison settles on this year's depth chart after losing 11 games to multiple injuries in 2018.

The Packers have placed WR Geronimo Allison on IR with his core muscle injury. He's not eligible to return until the postseason and can be dropped from all redraft rosters. Green Bay will move forward with Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Randall Cobb and Equanimeous St. Brown as its top 4 WRs. Adams will continue to dominate targets, while Valdes-Scantling and Cobb are WR3 options.
