Harvey Langi Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

The Jets on Tuesday placed LB Harvey Langi on IR with a neck injury, ending his season. That removes the guy who had been starting next to Neville Hewitt inside. Bryce Hager looks like the next guy up, but we can't recommend trusting him in Week 16 IDP lineups vs. Cleveland. The continued onslaught of injuries to the Jets defense likely boosts the tackle upside of S Marcus Maye.

Jets LB Blake Cashman (hamstring) is active for today's game against the Dolphins. He has been out since Week 7 and entered the day questionable. Cashman could be ready to regain the starting spot that Harvey Langi has occupied recently. Cashman is tough to trust in IDP lineups right away, though. He has played just 3 total defensive snaps on the year.

Jets ILB Avery Williamson (hamstring) is active. He missed Week 1 and arrived to this weekend questionable. Williamson will be tough to bet on in IDP lineups in his first action since a preseason 2019 ACL tear. But he's likely to at least take playing time from either Neville Hewitt or Harvey Langi -- and perhaps both in rotation. None makes for a strong fantasy option, though we'd play Hewitt first among them.

Jets ILB Avery Williamson (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers. He sat out Week 1, saw limited activity throughout training camp and remained limited in practice this week. That all makes Williamson a high-risk IDP option even if he's active and starting. If Williamson is back, then LB Harvey Langi would be tough to use in IDP lineups. We'll see what the team reveals about the situation Sunday morning.

Jets LB Blake Cashman left in the 1st quarter of Sunday's loss to the Bills after suffering a groin injury. He started next to Neville Hewitt at ILB with Avery Williamson out but only made it through 3 snaps. Harvey Langi filled in the rest of the way, managing 6 tackles and a pass breakup among 83 snaps. We'll see about Williamson's status heading into Week 2.
