Jalen Coker Locked in as the No. 2 WR?

Panthers WR Jalen Coker has “more or less solidified himself as the team’s No. 2 WR,” per reporter Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer. You probably remember Coker’s huge playoff game against the Rams: 9 catches, 134 yards, and 1 score on a 23% target share. Going back to Week 10, he ran a clear second among Carolina WRs in route rate, registering an 84% mark. The 24-year-old is now an exclusive rights free agent, but there’s no chance of him getting out of Carolina.

Tetairoa McMillan Proves He Is Elite Against Buccaneers

WR Tetairoa McMillan went 6-73-1 on 10 targets against the Buccaneers. Jalen Coker was the next highest WR with 5 targets. McMillan matched up against CB Jamel Dean often who had been stout against outside WRs, but McMillan was able to win multiple times one-on-one. As the Panthers march toward the NFC South crown, McMillan has proved himself to be an elite option who can be relied upon for the fantasy championship (and next season).

        Jalen Coker Active

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He was a full-go in practice all week, so we’re projecting him to play a significant role in this one. But we’d still try not to use Coker in fantasy lineups in his 2025 debut. WR Hunter Renfrow is a healthy scratch with Coker back.

Jalen Coker Will Play Week 7

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. But he was a full-go in practice all week and will play, according to ESPN's David Newton. Try not to use Coker in fantasy lineups in his 2025 debut, but he could quickly emerge as the No. 2 target in this passing game and is worth a stash in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams.

Jalen Coker Won't Play Week 6

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) was not activated from IR and will not play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday. Coker was a full participant in practice all week, so he's seemingly close to making his 2025 debut. He remains a fine stash in deeper fantasy leagues.

Jalen Coker A Game-Time Decision For Week 6

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) put in a full week of practice but is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys. HC Dave Canales labeled Coker a game-time decision on Friday. We’ll see if he gets the green light for this one, but Coker shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups in his 2025 debut.

        Jalen Coker Ready To Practice

Panthers WR Jalen Coker will be designated to return and practice on Wednesday, HC Dave Canales said. Coker has been sidelined since suffering a quad injury in late August. It's unclear if he'll be back for this weekend's game vs. the Cowboys, and Coker won't be a reliable fantasy play when he makes his 2025 debut. But he could quickly emerge as the No. 2 target in Carolina's passing game. How much that's worth is a fair question, though. The Panthers currently rank 26th in passing yards per game.

        Adam Thielen Heading Back Home

After a week or so of rumors, the Panthers and Vikings have finally worked out a trade to send WR Adam Thielen back to Minnesota. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Vikings will get Thielen, a conditional seventh-round pick for 2026, and a fifth-round pick for 2027. The Panthers will get a 2026 fifth-rounder and a 2027 fourth-rounder.

        Jalen Coker Trending Back Up

We reported on August 1 that Panthers WR Jalen Coker was off to a slow start in training camp and that his roster spot could be in danger. He's seemingly turned it around since, though, including a 2-17-1 receiving line in the preseason opener. HC Dave Canales called Coker "one of the more reliable guys we have" on Monday.
